Most dual-processor motherboards require processors to be of equal speed but there are some which allow processors with different speeds. The family and model of the processors has to be the same though. You can't couple a Deschutes and a Katmai or a Mendocino and a Coppermine. For best results get two of the same processors, that way you can avoid confusion and incompability issues.
