i have a few little problems w/ FF8.

i can play it, but the screen is so dark, it is killing my eyes, how do i adjust brightness? ( game like DQ7 works fine, only FF8 )

another problem w/ ff8 is i whenever i got 3 people in my party, in the battle mode, only first 2 people's name will shown up at bottom right of screen, the THIRD person's name and HP will not show up, but all the active bar will show up, any solution.

i am using pete's graphic plugin, all 3 of them have same problem, my config. was as same as ePSXe's homepage suggested.

You could try pete's d3d plugin (if you're not using it; you haven't given much informations, you know),
there's an "adjust gamma" option (click on the "select device" button)

As for your character/menus probs, why don't you put your plugin configuration here?

ok i ll put more info. of config here

as 4 GPU, i am using Pete's D3D driver 1.55,

configured as:

color depth: 16bit
textures quality: default
filtering: none
catch type: dynamic
framerate: auto detect

MDEC is enabled
i have tried all 3 of Pete's GPUs, but they all have same problems, plz give some help if u can.

i have the EXACT same problem with the 3rd party member, which sucks caus ei cant tell if they have 201hp or 2001hp

also out of battles it loads bakc to the game really, REALLY slowly. i think thats a cdr problem though, i can also only save on mem card 2?!?!?! meh

the only main problem is the top one, its a REAL annoyance
