Hi! I hope someone could help me with:

1) DC2 randomly freezes during gameplay. The screen just freezes and it takes me a couple of Esc -> Run -> Continue to unfreeze the game. It seems that ePSXe just hangs or something. There are no errors on the disc...

2) On the underwater level, the character sprites just disappear (Both Regina and the dinos). I think the "water layer" of the screen has something to do with it. What tweaks to the video plugin do I need to do?

Well, my guess is that you need to enable "full vram primitives" and set offscreen drawing to enhanced on the vid plugin. I don't really know as i played that part on the VGS. As for the random crashes, sorry but i really can't be of any help there.

1.- Enable accurate cd-rom timing
2.- Enable Full VRam primitives

I faced the similar problem in underwater level and enabling off screen drawing helped but there was a big let down in speed,so if you dont have a high specs system and you want to use epsxe to play that level you will need to select pete's soft plugin(just as I did).

Btw this problem was already discussed somewhere on this site.But as the search facility has lost all previous posts I cant link the thread to you.

Search Facility? it sounded like a chemical plant or a factory of searches, hehehe, just kidding. Yeah I remember now, i used lewpy's plugin for that part as it was a bit faster on my voodoo. but it has a big performance hit as well. full vram primitives should be enabled only on that level(so you can see where you are going).
Soft rendering is faster though.
