Hardware video encode/decode definately works better. Less CPU utilization when playing divx movies and DVD movies. As for gaming performance. I'll have to do more testing, but here is something. ;)

bah, I'm sticking to the 65.90, more recent ;)

Just checked the 66.31 and they are older than the 65.76 and 65.90, which makes me think the "66" part was made just to release along the 6600 cards, and put the drivers on manufacturers CDs. And given the gfx bug I've been getting with the 66.xx, I'll stick to the 65.90 for now.
