64 years ago about 2 lakh people died as a result of twin explosions of Hiroshima and Nagasaki....the death toll was never calculated accurately.

many say that it was a step that could have easily be avoided.A step that wasn't necessary to take as japan was already crippled...but heck it just happened...let us remember the people who died in the explosion and those effected by it.

browsing to the net i found some of the spine chilling pics of Hiroshima that i had not seen earlier.i would like to share the same with you guys

Hiroshima

may this mistake never happen again and may the souls of the dead rest in peace

amen!
Terrorism.
SCARY but I'm not surprised at all. This is VERY IMPORTANT to Christians and non believers. The world has gone berserk. There are soon going to be some great global changes made! How soon ? We will never know. One of the purposes of End-time Bible prophecy is to let you know what's going to happen in the future so that you won't be taken by surprise by these great events, so you can rest assured that it is all a part of God's pre-ordained plan.
Scary. Genuinely scary.

You tell that to the people that got incinerated by the bomb. I'm sure they'll be as committed as you are.

Did you read about the alternative, ie. a full-blown traditional invasion of Japan?

Operation Downfall - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The "Estimated Casualties" section is especially interesting:

In a study done by the Joint Chiefs of Staff in April, the figures of 7.45 casualties/1,000 man-days and 1.78 fatalities/1,000 man-days were developed. This implied that a 90-day Olympic campaign would cost 456,000 casualties, including 109,000 dead or missing. If Coronet took another 90 days, the combined cost would be 1,200,000 casualties, with 267,000 fatalities.[37]
@Cheesus,

Watch your language, man! I personally do not appreciate vulgar swearing.

I feel sorry for you because you are truly lying to yourself.

Irrelevant. Regardless of whether there would have been more casualties resulting from a full-blown invasion, the fact that hundreds of thousands of innocent lives were lost still stands, there can be no justification for that.
The guy who gave'd the order for the atomic bomb should have been punished for being a war criminal.
Blame Einstein for giving the idea :p j/k
nah, he should've been commended for providing epic fireworks.

Einstein was a pacifist who never wanted to see his work turned into a terrible weapon. However, he came to the conclusion that if the Nazis were to develop the bomb first, this war would have been much more deadly.
Yes. Thanks, Einstein, to give this idea to the men which bombed Hiroshima.
I remember Einstein quote which I first saw on this site (I miss that feature!)
"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."
Ironic as he is the one most responsible for it...

Would you rather Hitler, the man who murdered millions of innocent people and his evil, savage army have gotten a hold of the bomb first? Let's not forget that Hitler had the V2 rocket. Coupled with the atomic bomb, he could have easily taken out almost any target in Europe.

I won't forget Hitler, because he was a noob dictator.

What part of "j/k" do you not get?

I felt the need to clarify your sense of humor about a topic as serious as this one.
Looking at those pics gives me the feeling that we will end up killing ourselves.
