Beyond confused
He's beyond confused. He's the most deliberate moron I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing.
"Emulators, are purely software. So are systems. Hardware doesn't mean shit. Like you idiots alway fail to realize that software is supposed to be built around hardware."
Truly magnificent. Software is written FOR hardware, not AROUND hardware. On any platform, any hardware, the software is sending instructions to the hardware. The software MUST be compiled to run on the hardware in question, because the software has to send the right instructions to make things happen. Crack a book on microprocessors and computer architecture, you might learn something.
An emulator (basically) works by translating machine instructions meant for the original platform into instructions that can make sense to the platform that the emulator is running on. I imagine that this takes the form of a series of virtual instructions for each "real" machine instruction recieved from the software (in this case, a PSX game.) Therefore, the emulator has to understand the machine instructions it's recieving, which ePSXe certainly WOULD NOT, if the software in question is a PS2 game. The PS2 game would most assuredly not even begin to boot, because it doesn't have the proper bootstrap code that the emulator needs to get everything going. This has nothing to do with a bios, it has everything to do with the fact that they are 2 completely differant platforms.
A PS2 emulator may be available someday (as a matter of fact, the licensed PS2 developers are already using them, so it's certainly possible.) To postulate that the only change necessary to run PS2 games on a PC is to use ePSXe with a PS2 bios is ludicrous, the dreaming of a technological half-wit; someone who knows just enough to be dangerously stupid (and downright comical!)
SX/Amiga!!! Do us all a gigantic favor and ban this idiot. He's completely lost all novelty.
