Just tested out a couple of games using the latest versions. here's a couple of things I've found that are new to this version. lemme know if you have any similar results:
Gran Turismo 2 - can't get either disc to start, regardless of CD-Rom settings
Gran Turismo - same as GT2
Tenchu 1 - In-Game Background music works now without repeating every 10 seconds or so
Tenchu 2 - Can't get to start
Resident Evil 1 - In Game Speech works better, still breaks up a bit
Resident Evil 2 - In-Game Speech still broken, and Disc 1 one doesn't start while Disc 2 does under the same CD settings. . .
Resident Evil 3 - In Game Speech broken
Metal Gear Solid - In Game speech works a lot better, but still breaks up a tad
Tony Hawk 2 - Still Works great.
I tested some others, but the results weren't as exciting. I do have a question for everyone though: is the in-game speech breaking up certain games a result of the sound/cdrom plugin used, or is it that the internal SPU core still needs work? just wondering, cuz the speech thing in certain games is the only complaint I have about this wonderful emu.
Here are my specs to top it all off:
Celeron 433 @ 540
128 MB Ram
Geforce2 MX video w/ 12.41 drivers
SBLive! Value
Win2k Sp2
Decent CD Drives
Plenty of HD Space
And Under epsxe -
video - Pete's OGL 1.50
Sound - Epsxe Core 1.40 (all options checked)
CD-Rom - Epsxe WNT/W2k Core 1.40 (neither option checked)
Bios - SCPH1001.BIN
Be sure to share. . .
