µTorrent: The mother of all BitTorrent Clients.

I've recently discovered this wonderfull BitTorrent client, And had to share the secret. It's one of the best clients i've used, If not the best. It has all the features and whistles of Azureus (Minus the java\slow\unstable\resources usage), Weighs less then 100kB and uses no CPU time and barely any memory.

Has no install so you can throw it wherever you want, And so far, It's pretty well done with all the options ordered well, And the limits\connections working smoothly as possible.

I'm giving a warm recommendation to anyone who wants a very well done BT client to give this one a try. You won't regret it :)

The Captain: Im really not sure how new versions break speed.. Some people say its alot faster for them, some say its alot slower.

There's a pretty detailed FAQ now, you should read it and try messing around with some settings (those are basiclly the only changes throughout versions - which settings are on by default, default values etc).
GRRR, stupid CRAPPY program, it crashed!!! if there's anything I hate about a torrent program it is when it crashes... you get home and think the torrents would be done downloading... and you see that the program crashed.

Never utorrent again.
Been using it for a month now 24/7,not a glimpse of a crash...
Huh... same with bositman. It doesnt crash on my computer too. Something wrong with the configuration i guess.
I doubt it the only thing I changed was maxiumum number of peers per torrent to 300. I had no other program running at the time of the crash. What configuarion could possibly have been wrong?
Havent crashed on me either, even since v1.1 ..

You should ask around on the forums rather then giving up so quickly.
I did ask around in the forum. I tried again, but it crashes even more frequently now.

I have never tried that this with torrents so I'm just asking, if I switch bittorrent client, so I at least can finish the downloads that I have started, will there be potential problems?
Shouldnt be any problem. Too bad that you give up so quickly, but when can one do..
I think you would too, none wants a bittorrent client that crashes. I've changed to another client now, it uses 10 times as much memory *shudder* but at least it doesn't crash :p
Like i said, never crashed on me. Besides, being a computer freak and a programmer id probably be excited to find WHY its crashing :p
Another one is out

I decided to say goodbye to Azureus. Even though my connection should be able to handle 40 KB/s upload, I changed it to 20 KB/s upload and now everything works fine.
Might try the new version then, You can now set the rate limit for DHT (some people were reporting it as high as 12KB/s upload sometimes..). Maybe that was using some upload and seemingly not being able to upload at your max.
Great this new version has not crashed even once for me so far :)
You'd rather take it from the mainpage, www.utorrent.com .

even though betanews is a trusted source, i prefer going to the real source when getting software ;]

We already saw some ****ed up nullsoft-installer bundled uTorrent .exe's floating around.
