in theory, your download speed is equal to the connected seeders' combined upload speed (also taking into consideration leechers already connected to the peer will stretch out bandwidth sharing between leechers). Azurues seems to connect to leechers first instead of seeders (probably because there are less people connected for uploading with the leecher, which equals higher upload speed for you) But generally, all Bittorent clients will level off to similar speeds

I just love bitspirit.
Also tried ABC, and regular bittorrent.
Never tried Azureus, due the high resource usage...

due to Azureus connecting to peers faster than utorrent by about a few seconds the DHT also allows you to connect to peers that are not reported by the tracker so yes, overal Azureus is faster but at least I can play Generals with utorrent

Connections are a matter of configuration. Perheps Azureus' net code is more optimized, But i still prefer less resources (ALOT less), even if it takes a minute more to connect to the peers.

DHT tracker support is planned for µTorrent v1.2 as far as i know ;)

Kazuya Mishima: Yup, you redownload the torrent in the new client and select the partial files (or save to the same place you saved in azureus), and the client should scan the incomplete files and pick up from where azureus left. I would advise to make a copy of the files just in case something goes wrong (shouldn't really, but its a shame accidentlly ruining a few gigs of data).

Well I've used Azureus and found it to be very slow and poor connecting to seeds.

Bittornado is my client of choice but I'll try out this new one, I'm always on the look out for something that will let me download easier.

You can rest asure there is no trojan in this program. Every other antivirus clears it, and several software sites have tested and verified it to be clean (try looking for it in softpedia.com for example). Norton has become a very poor AV solution, with lots of false calls.

Yea, I thought that was odd for everyone on this forum to mad praise it and me to find a Trojan the moment I open it (just opening utorrent to set it up, I wasn't even getting a torrent at the moment. I just double-clicked and BAM, worm alert.)
