I've recently discovered this wonderfull BitTorrent client, And had to share the secret. It's one of the best clients i've used, If not the best. It has all the features and whistles of Azureus (Minus the java\slow\unstable\resources usage), Weighs less then 100kB and uses no CPU time and barely any memory.

Has no install so you can throw it wherever you want, And so far, It's pretty well done with all the options ordered well, And the limits\connections working smoothly as possible.

I'm giving a warm recommendation to anyone who wants a very well done BT client to give this one a try. You won't regret it

I tried this under Wine (you heard me....WINE!!! I have officially switched over to Linux, but I haven't been on IRC yet cause I'm still trying to fix out the kinks with the ATi drivers and KDE...soon though ^^)

Only used it for 5 minutes, but I got up to 100kb/s on one torrent. Still looks like a clone of G3 to me

Yeah same for me, I've used ABC on recommendation by Kane IIRC, and it works fine for me. Perhaps I'll switch after I heard something. I also might try it when my current downloads are finished. Is it possible there's a big difference in downloading speed between different clients? And if so... how come?

I believe it is better then ABC, Because it uses less resources, has more options (afaik), and is updated more regularly.

There shouldn't be speed difference between properly configured clients, But it might happen since the code base and implementation of the protocol differ.

I gave it a try, and I must admit that I liked it. I've never tried many BT clients, only the original one, Azureus, and ABC. Still, this one impressed me by how light it is. Azureus used to eat a lot of resources and slow down my computer. So far this client has my approval :thumb:

BitSpirit looks like a hybrid of XP's Luna with GetRight. I really dislike its UI ;p

I am now testing this against Azureus using a massive Naruto torrent (I am going to delete it right after I download it I won't watch it), it seems that Azureus connects to more clients and does it faster but this uses less resources than Azureus
