Does anyone know the save type to starfox command?

The EUR version has massive graphical issues (NoCash renderer doesn't display the top screen at all .. no graphics. OpenGL renderer glitches a lot too, as if the camera has panned away from the craft) and the sound is scratchy to the point of unplayability.
