Well, before this thread becomes swarmed with bug reports concerning the svn, I'd like to point out to all the people who don't stay in the irc channel that svn281 was found out immediately as severely bugged, and that svn283 is already out.... And who knows, more revisions might follow.....

Seriously, they are svn, if something worked in 279 and now it doesn't, report it in the pcsx2 forum to help the devs, not in here....

(P.S. I just lurk in irc, but I thought it would be useful to let people know....)

right pcsx2 svn discussion goes into the SVN bug report thread somewhere in the pcsx2 section.
But GSdx SVN right here, because gabest needs user reports when some visuals in Game XYZ not displayed correctly.

Yes but you have to wait for a "stable" PCSX2 SVN before compile, test and report (concerning both PCSX2 SVN and GSdx SVN), except if you are an official betatester, in such case you dont have to report here.
A public SVN (277 is the last one) is considered as "stable". A 2 days old SVN without changes (279 is the latest) may be considered as "stable". Maybe. Your opinion ?

Don't discuss SVN on this forum in general. GSdx is pushing it, but if I see this go into PCSX2 SVN discussion again I'm handing out warnings. If you want to talk about SVNs, go to the IRC channel.

It seems to me like there's a buffer that GSdx does not initialize or clear. In ToA, whenever a battle starts, the screen is supposed to shatter with a black background (blank buffer). However, whenever I load from a savestate from Run CD/DVD, the background is usually totally garbled. Same thing with the skits.

Now, when I run from Execute, what normally is garbled shows a messed up Playstation 2 sign, the one that appears in the beginning. So I think that there's a buffer that starts out uninitialized and is initialized by the beginning logo; that may help you out. I just tested it with the skits; I'm not totally sure if it works 100% with the battles. But the problem exists nevertheless.

Or it may turn out that I'm insane.

Happens with 0.94 and both SVNs. I'm using 0.1.7.

That problem is in the VUrec, not in GS.

i just installed vista ultimate 64bit and was trying to get pcsx2 working in 64 bit.
i got pcsx2 and most the plugins compiled 64 bit but gdsx is giving me 15 compile errors on the linker, "unresolved external Symbol" all dx3d related. did i do something wrong or is 64-bit not currently "maintained" on gdsx?

no gabest is only working on the 32bit version for now.
but you can compile the release-sse2 build without problems when you install the latest DirectX SDK.

The 64bit Build of pcsx2 is slower that the 32bit build atm, so its not worth to try in this status.
