Using this solves some problems that I get when using ZeroGS, but using this also makes the game go extremely slow...

hi
I installed Gsdx 0.1.8 and pcsx2 crashes everytime I run a game, i've tried using SSE2, SSSE3, and SSE4 and everything crashes. (same as other user post recently),

I have a e8400, vista x64 4gb ram, 9800gx2, drivers whql 175.16, direct x runtime (about 80 mb download from main post) june 2008 installed ok, every dx10 pc game (devil may cry 4 demo, lost planet, world in conflict, etc...) plays incredible, and many ps2 games with gdsx 0.17 dx10 1680x1050 vsync and resolution 2048 x 2048, runs really good, but I don't understand why with this version I can't boot a game, (I came testing gdsx from the first version, and never have this error). Obiously I tried gdsx0.1.8 on both dx9 and 10, windowed resolution, standard resolution (1024x768), native textures, no vsync, etc... all options, but always crash without reason.

I tried every I read post here, put dlls, delete dlls, leave only gdsx ss4.dll, only ss3, etc.... but nothin, nothing error, only single crash, with the typical windows crash error.

I hope someone can help me, and sorry my bad english, it's not my native language.

thanks!

If you updated your directX, maybe your CPU doesn't support SSE4.1 (Only > E8xxx, > T8xxx...)

Just a question but why does my mouse get locked in the screen in window mode. Its been happening forever but I never asked why. It makes it very difficult to maximize the window (thou still possible). ctrl-alt-del.

That's mouse focusing option in the LilyPad plugin, disable it and you'll be fine.

Concerning the crash on game open with gsdx1.8, I have it too. 1.7 worked fine (except for crashes on minimizing)

It looks like you don't have a complete BIOS - "Not found!"

Plugin works really nice but it crashes my whole PCSX randomly when using true musou attack in Samurai Warriors 2: Empires (PAL) no matter which PCSX2 build I use. Syndroms are: extreme graphical corruption and slowdown to 1 fps after which it either recovers or goes kaboom. Strangely it has absolutely no problems with Samurai Warrios 2: Extreme (PAL) or any Dynasty Warriors series though.

I am using SSE2 version on AMD X2 3800+, GF8800GT, tried on XP and Vista, dx9 and dx10, software and hardware rendering.

This works wonderfully. Minus a few random crashes I am really pleased ( which I won't hold against you because that's how programming works ). Thank you! :]

Thank you very much for the clarification bositman Sorry, I must have missed that issue when searching the forums.

All in all I must say that I am amazed by the plugin and the progress made in its development. http://images.ngemu.com/forum/smilie...dard/thumb.gif

They sure don't make that option apparent.

the same problem can also happen if you have Pad 1 set to lilypad, and Pad 2 set to a different version of lilypad.

I was having the same issue with 0.1.8 too at first, so I downloaded the newest Direct X runtime from the first post and ran the installer. I was still having the same issue though until I realized that the first installer just extracts some some cab files, some dlls and an exe. You need to run that exe to install the direct x runtime. Boy do I feel stupid. I hope this helps.

Oh yeah, you're right, we need the June2008 release of DX. I downloaded it expecting to fix issues with Mass Effect but it fixed GSDX crashes instead :>

Oh, now with multithreaded software rendering, 4 cores start to have a real use ^^
