If it was created in humanoid shape to begin with, it wouldn't bother me as much, but the actual transforming just sounds and looks stupid when it's at that size... Spoiler:
Eclipse has an ability "Quantum Leap" that is able to reborn a person (in this cases ES members, that's why they lived so long.
(Note that those links lead to two different wiki pages...)
Spoiler:
How I understood it was that Eclair and Lumiere had been living a long time before they even met Eclipse or joined GOTT for that matter... In the flashback with Chevalier she even says she's about to join GOTT, but that was only about 50 years in the past while it was obvious she was much, much older than that(about 250 years by wiki). And it's not the memory wipe as that happened much later than that, most likely just few years before the series start as she meets the waitress in that cafe when Lumiere is showing her around. I did understand that Eclipse had the power to do that but I thought she only did it when they were killed by Alv and dragr(or whatever), because like I earlier mentioned I thought they were older than Eclipse.

But yeah, wiki also says that it's the power of Eclipse that gives them the ability to be reborn so I guess I'm the one wrong here... But even wiki doesn't explain the actual origin of their powers.

Sure, they do tell that they don't have dreams or anything because they're only cyborgs, created to serve the professor but still... They could've been more interesting.

Spoiler:
Oh and I forgot to b**ch about the fact that they pretty much just copied the second seasons finale with Vivio... Someone says "Oh, she's the devil who took her away!!!" and she goes berserk, just like what happened with Hayate. I just lol'd at the "this might hurt a bit" part, just before she proceeds to blast Vivio with her strongest attack!

Note the same, it just helps the cool factor a lot .

You understood partly wrong:

Spoiler:
Eclipse was the first ES member, it is unknown how her power came to be but it probably is due to some experiments considering that its because of nanomachines (so the only mystery regarding the powers is her), Eclair was the first to be recruited by Eclipse and when she was reborn thanks to Eclipse ability its also when she got infused with the nanomachines so that's when Eclair acquired her power, upon reborn, same with Lumiere. The flashback with Lumiere showing Eclair around is actually from when she had her memory wipe not of when she joined GOTT.

Well as i said personally i found them done enough, its not like there wasn't room for more, but i don't find any flaw with how it is either, they show enough personality even as it is.

I'm starting to think its the same as with Kiddy Grade here you weren't properly paying attention... Its not like the finale of S2... not at all...

Here's an example for Quadro and Vivio part:

Spoiler:
Quadro saying "Oh, she's the devil who took her away!!!" that part was brainwashing, its not like with Hayate, in Hayate's case it was manipulation of events plus some other things, but in Vivio's case they where using a relic to take complet control of Vivio's body and mind (Vivio herself being part of the ship in a way as its biological guardian), that phrase with "Oh, she's the devil who took her away!!!" was just a trigger to get her going, remember once Quadro gets nuked Vivio regains her mind, even if not control of her body which still acts as a guardian for the ship.

Oh okay, that explains some... But was that really in the anime? I really don't remember it being explained, is it in the movies?

And damn it, now there is huge mix up...
Spoiler:
I meant to say that when Eclair has her flashback about being Chevalier's mother, which happened 50 years in the past and in which she said she was going to join GOTT to him. But by what you're and the wiki is saying, she should've already been in GOTT by that time.

And I just brought up the other flashback with her being in the cafe with Lumiere as it proves that the memory wipe couldn't be the reason for her to say that as it happened much later... But now that I think about it might've been stupid of me to think you might even try to say that.

It's still the very same basic idea...
Spoiler:
A girl who obviously doesn't want to fight is manipulated/forced into losing control and fighting her. Sure the details are different, but it boils down to using the same trick to get more drama.

I was hoping it would at least have an actual bad guy being as the final boss, not another manipulated little girl(who once again grows up when she becomes ~evil~ Cuz boobs are evil I guess...). Like I said, it made me lol when she "had to" blast the crap out of her to "save her", it didn't feel like a very satisfying end to a boss battle. Oh well, at least she also blasted the crap out of Quadro through half the ship, that was pretty badass...

Yup it was, i didn't even see the movie which i need to do, all is explained from around the point when:

Spoiler:
Eclair and Lumiere rebel against the GOTT it is explained little by little till the end.

Yup your having just a mix up dunno why but you missunderstood, here is the how it goes:

Spoiler:
Eclair joins GOTT with Eclipse 250 years ago, 50 years ago then she gets involved with Chevalier a Nouvlesse and ends up being his adopted mother till they are separated if i remember right due to him being a Nouvlesse and all, to support his mom Chevalier works hard to advance in the world and ends as GOTT's leader, problem is that by that time Eclair has a memory wipe, and the series begins.

If you strip it at the core many things are basic in a lot of animes , the settings are quite different between Hayate's case and what where talking about.

Personally that's what i liked, it concentrated more on feelings sort to speak for the final battle then having the classic ultimate battle plot thing, dunno it felt nice doing it a bit differently for me. Also yeah
Spoiler:
Quadro getting owned was one of my favorite parts .

I wish they'd make an anime adaptation after the original concept.

How many different fates are there? Fate/stay night, fate/zero and now this... Oh well, I'm not that interested in it anyways as I never really liked it.

-------------------------------------

What should I watch now... Kiddy Girl-and- is coming but very slowly, and now I'm just rewatching Acchi Kocchi for some reason, good thing it's slice of life though as they're always rewatchable. ...Maybe I should start rewatching hidamari sketch as the X Honeycomb is starting in a few months. Or hayate no gotoku, as that's also continuing...

Not interested ? Sounds like you did not watch Fate/Zero the anime its awesome. Also the video i posted is of the original concept how fate stay night was originally written by the author till it got remade to suit it in a visual novel.

I originally tried Fate/stay night but didn't really like it and I didn't even try Zero as some of the stuff just sounds like it'll leave a bad taste...

It wont, Fate/Zero is nothing like Fate/Stay Night, its an awesome show, its worth getting for the fights between Gilgamesh and Berseker alone. Give it a try you wont regret it.

Whatever you're thinking will leave a bad taste is not found in the anime, as I said before.

^Your the one missing out , i know its hard to believe but it really is on a whole new level, and the protagonist here is simply awesome. Though as strange as it may be i found here Gilgamesh to be an interesting character as well his one of my favorites.

...That guy. I mean seriously, the only other protagonist that I hate as much as him is Kio from Gundam AGE.

^lol i know what you mean i never been conflicted so much with a protagonist before like with that case... This is a spoiler to the movie and series Radix if you wanna know what where talking about:

Spoiler:
Archer from Fate/Stay Night is actually Shirou, funny thing is even after he remembers that he wants to beat the crap out of him even more .

Don't worry it is nothing but nothing like that, does this protagonist give you any idea of such stupidity:

Here's the op for some further convincing:

http://vimeo.com/29940643

Even Rider despite being a hulky male blows the female version out of the way and totally won me over, i wasn't very fine with that selection at first but i prefer him as a character any time over the female one, not to mention it totally changed my impression of Gilgamesh.

started watching the original japanese dbz.
i've watched dubbed english dbz when it used to play on tv as a kid, but i missed lots of random episodes, especially with the buu saga.
i later watched japanese dbz kai, but they cut out a bunch of stuff! its not even worth watching cuz of everything they cut out, and they didn't even do the buu saga (which was what i wanted to see most).

now i'm finally watching original japanese dbz in 4:3 aspect ratio, and i'm having a good time watching it. seeing the parts that dbz kai left out is nice, they add more comic relief, substance, and character development to the series, instead of just fight-after-fight.
