it's fair enough to be good, if you see what I mean! Well, it's not too violent
nor it is too childish as most of people think, it's most likely a mid-term. I'm currently about half of the series now, episode 47 (of 95, I think)! It's getting better and better, I didn't like the beginning too much but... the improvement so long is remarkable, it's a must-see anime, but there are better out there.

Next on list is Shakugan no Shana, And finishing School rumble Season 1
Next on my list are "Saber Marionette" (it's a masterpiece, I forgot to recommend it) and "You're Under Arrest" (I'm currently unable to describe, I never watched), I still have about 185 hours of anime to watch (till I get more, eheh), so I'm trying to watch the big series like those, then I'll watch the normal 12-13/24-26 episodes series.

I still don't have the second series, that's why I didn't started watching it xD but I'll be sure to do it later. It's well known for a great one.

I really enjoyed rozen maiden, its basically 7 dolls who were created by a man called "father" and the each doll has there own "soul" to speak called a rosa mystica, and the objective of the series is for 1 doll to win the Alice Game. Which is to fight the other 6 dolls and take thier rosa mystica(making them junk) the winner of the Alice Game meets father and becomes the perfect doll.

Aaannnd the last exception is that a doll can choose to make a contract with a human to be used as a medium for power, and in doing so the human becomes a servant to the doll, and also protects the doll with his medium power.

Theres 2 series so far, each doll has a unique characteristic and they really grow on you.

Also samurai champloo is good, and if you just want some cute laughs "Magical Pokan" cracks me up all the time, so freakin cute.

You should all be ashamed for not mentioning that anime.
Shame on you.
Indeed, it is quite a good series. Few times have I seen a series that hand the friendship theme so well. The only requirement for you to enjoy this series is to imagine the first episode never existed

Apart from that, I may use this space as a means to promote the two series from the last season that I like the most:

- Simoun: Despite being from a sub-genre that I don't particularly like (yuri), apart from that it has every element I love from a story: An epic story, a huge cast with well developed characters that develop through the series and well developed relationships between each character. Really, if you have some time give this underrated series a go.

- A must see for those that liked Juuni Kokki or those who like medieval settings. It may seem a little girly at first but fear not, its well developed characters keep the story driving at full force from the first to the last chapter, and into the next season.

As you can see the main thing I search in a series are strong and well-developed characters Hence my favorites series are often forgotten titles like Figure 17, Aria, Mushishi, Kino no Tabi... followed by Stellvia, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Juuni Kokki, etc.

one that i thought was ok but not too amazing was "ikkitousen" (according to kura it's based on one of the mangas she reads - battle vixxens).

Seems like this thread is being ignored a little

I would like to recommend You're Under Arrest
Even though you might think it's something unworthy
and boring because of the name, you're totally mistaken,
It's fun to see, joking all around and romance mixed up.

So, tell me more about the animes you loved...

For any of those who liked Fate/Stay night remember to give Tsukihime a shot, since its the author's previous work. Better yet, give the game a try, the guys at mirror moon did quite a fine work translating the game

Shingetsutan Tsukihime is actually good, yes.
It's about a story of a boy who can see the
destruction lines, that should stand the root
of all things. But unfortunately, when he sees
them it causes him to try to cut them, even if
it's a person. He meets a vampire once and starts
to helping it.

Yep. I have just finished watching Samurai Champloo, and it is freaking awesome. I like very much OST from this Anime. Great combinations of Samurai's life + hip hop style and surrondings.

Yes, there is much blood present in this anime.

Rozen Maiden is still by far the best anime I've seen to date

Just finished up Ikkitousen...pointless anime with a storyline to maximize ecchi, panty shots, and bra-busting action. I love it

next one I want to check out is Narutaru (not Naruto, you cartoon network pussies )

Most of them really don't, only one of them likes the intellectual ones. They mostly like the DBZ/Naruto/Bleach shonen types. I'm not saying their bad, but they're one I wouldn't watch again and again and really enjoy.

Yeah, Rozen Maiden was awesome. Great music, plot and characters. And there was more then enough comedy in there mixed with the drama, they did it perfectly IMO.

Man, can't wait for the third season of School Rumble and second season of Haruhi to come out .
