Metal Gear Solid (PAL version): Can't get everything to work right.

I imported the PAL version of Metal Gear Solid for the PlayStation awhile back and now that I have the chance to play it, my only easy option is to play it on my computer, since my TV isn't PAL compatible.

I did my research for the best configuration for MGS, but that was for the US version, you wouldn't think I would have problems, but I am.

I've been configuring the heck out of ePSXE for the past couple of days now, and whenever I get something to work perfect, something else goes wrong.

I've used versions 1.6.0 and 1.5.2 of ePSXe, and have had the same results. My current configuration is with 1.5.2, and use Pete's OpenGL plugin 1.75 for both.

Whenever I used the ePSXe SPU core for the sound, my video is nice and smooth during gameplay and cutscenes, but the sound is messed up, missing sound effects here and there, and is just not right.

Whenever I use the Eternal SPU plugin, I get perfect sound, but cutscenes are choppy and laggy, not good.

My computer is an Intel 1.8ghz with 512 RAM and a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 video card. I think that's sufficient for emulating PlayStation games, right?

Perhaps some of you have had the same problems I've went through, any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Try to use Eternal SPU for the sound, enable Wait for XA buffer is free, and enable the SPU IRQ - Wait CPU action. Also try to increase or decrease the buffer size, whichever works best.
