Xenogears Freezing *Little Spoiler*

I am having a problem with Xenogears disk 1. When i get to the part when Fei is looking at a kid version of himself in a spot light the game freezes. Anyone else have this problem that can help me out?

Take a look at the readme of ePSXe

"As the Chrono Cross trick isn't necessary any more, we have assigned a new trick to the F7 key, for the Xenogears dreams sequence: Press this key at the beginning of the scene, and once again after the end
