Hello, i have a little Problem with Project1.5 SP1 and Mario64 Euro.When i use the new Riceīs Daedalus 5.1.0d Plugin i can read all Signs and Text,but when i switch the Button for Transparence in the Game Mario insīt visible.Only the Shadow of Mario is there.And when i used the glide64.042 Plugin i have the Transparency from Mario,but all the Signs and the Text canīt be read.Another Problem is that the Rice-Plugin send an Error if i use other VGA-Cards-Entrys or Depth-Buffer than 16. It comes the message Canīt initialze DierctX8,please check your Direct settings. My Configuration is a AMD2400XP+ with 512 MB DDR,Geforce4 Ti4200 8x,WinXP Pro with the Detonator 44.03 Driver and DirectX9 I hope someone can Help and sorry for my bad English iīm German ;-) |

Since Rice's plugin still isn't prefected, use Jabo's Plugins. They come in the latest Service Pack. Unless you prefer the Rice's Pluginn. I don't use it, so I really can't help. My suggestion is Jabo. |

Hello ROMstein, the Jabo Plugin and Glide064 produce the same Error.The Text from the Game is corrupt and not readable.I tryīd all aviable Plugins in Project 64 and i try all the other newest Emu like HLE2064,1964,Nemu,Mupen and all Emus produce the same Error.But with Jabo and Glide Mario is transparence and visible and with Rice i can read the Text but i have no transparence Mario :-( And now i have testet the English Version from Super Mario 64,and i hoped there is no problem,but there is the same Problem.No Transpance Mario but readable Text:-( I have played it and in one Level you need the transparence in the Water-World to take the Star. Rice's Daedalus 5.1.0d is the first and only plugin that solves the unreadable text issue with the (E) version of the rom. As for changing the Depth Buffer, don't as Rice doesn't recommend this. I don't understand what you mean by transparency, do you mean the background to the text? It works perfectly with the (U) rom, but that isn't ideal as the (U) is only available in english and has no German option. |

I have a problem with Mario.The game runs good but i cannot read the text. I am using pj64 btw. Thanks. |

Hello Clements, i mean the function when you touch the Blue boxes.Mario should be invinsible(transparent) when he puch under the blue boxes,but he isnīt. When i use the Glide64-Plugin i have a invinsible Mario and no Text and with the Rice i have the Text but no visible Mario there is only a Shadow and under Water you have no Shadow,you see nothing from Mario. And my other problem is that i canīt change anything from the Rice-Plugin.When i try to change the Depth-Buffer or the VGA(DirectX/OpenGL) there comes a message that the Rice-Plugin canīt initialze DirectX8. Okay, Jabo's and Glide64 don't actually emulate the dissolve effect correctly either. glNinendo64() is the only plugin to emulate it, although you'll still get the unreadable text. I'd suggest you stick with Rice's plugin as at least you can read the text. As for the bugs in the screenshots like Mario disappearing when you pause with the Vanish cap and not being transparent, I suggest you submit the screenshots to Rice himself. To do that you'll need to register at www.emutalk.net and submit the screenshots in this thread. Perhaps they can be solved. Plus, trust me, do not change the depth buffer as it is allright on the default setting. |

Hello Clements, thanks for your answer and i tryīd to register on emutalk,but iīm waiting for the activation-mail since 3 days.This Screenshots comes not when i pause.This Screenshots are from diverend Pluginīs to show the problem.I found a nother Problem with the Rice-Plugin.The 2-Player-Screen in Mario-Kart are corrupt.I canīt play in 2-Player-Modus.Are you registered in Emutalk??Yes??Can you contact Rice and tell him about my Problem,and he should contact me here in this Forum??I donīt understand,why i doesnīt become this Activation-Mail from Emutalk.And many thanks for your helping :-) Last edited by Wiggle64; July 14th, 2003 at 11:33.. |

Here some Screens with the OGL-Combiner in the Rice-Plugin,and some Screens from other Games that i tryīd to play with the Rice-Plugin. In MarioParty the ship is missing and MarioKart donīt work in 2-Player-Modus.In Centre Court Tennis there are only the Shadows from the Player.This Problems are in OGL and DirectX9.With other Pluginīs i have the same Problems or other results so that i canīt play this Games.
