I voted for Capcom. They make many great game series (Resident Evil, Megaman, Street Fighter, etc.). My second favourite would be Squaresoft.

I'd have to say Squaresoft because they have made so many games that I love.

i woulda voted squaresoft normally because of the classics theyve released but right now im looking into the future, so i voted none of the above as the companies which i would vote for are (in this particular order) Blizzard, interplay, and black isle

EDIT: oops, just noticed this is in misc console discussion, so im guessing console only ... ok, then, i would vote squaresoft, then nintendo

I was gonna say Square JP but then it's same as Squaresoft.
Also, this mean the publisher or the developers or both?
I'd say id Software, Epic, ENIX, Tri-Ace, Namco

Should be moved to game discussion sooner or later, so it'll be fine then.

I'm not sure which one I like more, but my two picks for favorite developers would be either Climax (too many good series mostly on Sega systems to count) or Black Isle Studios (favorite game of all time and just about everything else is good to better as well). For publisher, I guess Squaresoft, at least for the moment (though Namco is coming on strong).

I DEFINITELYthink there's a couple huge ones that you missed, like Konami and EA. Hell, EA's been coming out with games on just about every console and platform for foreve, although I guess these days most people just know them for their sports series. Konami too is one of the all-time great names in console history. Anyway, with neither of those up there I guess I'll go for Squaresoft.

I voted for Square, although I believe we shouldn't have this brand loyalty.
In the SNES era, Square seemd to do no wrong, but still they released turkeys like FFMQ, and Secret of Evermore.
No company is perfect.

if there was a "Square pre ff8" (meaning the SNES software and ff7/fft) i would've voted for that. As it is, I voted for Sega/ Nintendo... they have the most promising titles on the horizon.

I think Rare should come under Nintendo since they are ( or should I say were) pretty much an in house developer. 2nd = Square. 3rd = Sega

WTH did Sega and Squaresoift come from? IIRC, Square never did a game for Sega.
What you should have done was made it possible to select multiple items, and limit it to 2 or 3.

bad poll

from those listed, Sega

btw, I knew square would win on this forum in advance, yet they're mainly good in one genre (with a few exceptions)
