Looking good there, Cotton.
I'm trying to gain weight here however lol.
I can't seem to pass 75 kilo (165 lb), and I'm over 6'
It's great that you can keep up with the training; quite a solid determination you got there.
Keep it up

@Cotton.
Whoah I didn't know a six pack was that hard to get.
Always thought with some training and good food I could get that in a couple of months.

Good job you are on the right track, although in my case if I were you I would like to build more mass.

heh, yeah i'm over 6ft as well, my weight in that picture is 153lbs.
ideally i want to be 175lbs with the extra weight being all muscle-mass i add this year (easy to gain weight for me if its fat, but gaining lean muscle-mass is the hard part).

there's been 2 things i've done to keep motivated, which i recommend if you're training:
1) take progress pics of yourself every week. if you don't take progress pics you get to the point where you don't think you're making any progress, and then you get depressed and stop training. but when you take pics you can compare yourself to how you looked a couple months back, and notice that you are making progress, it just takes a long time to get the big results.

2) you have to make training and diet part of your life, and not just a phase. you 'will' lose your gains if you stop training and dieting, so people that aren't willing to do this should just quit before they waste their time. Also whenever you feel like quitting, you have to remember that you would have wasted all the previous months of effort when you quit.

if you can't gain weight you need to eat more as people have already mentioned (and make sure you train hard so you don't just gain fat). if you're not doing it already, you should buy protein powder and drink an extra protein shake with each of your meals (or in-between meals). should help you gain that extra weight.

you might be able to; i mentioned i don't have good genetics for working out/bodybuilding.
some people people are naturally lean or gain muscle easily and can get them after a few months of working out.
for me, it takes years of diet and training

I do eat A LOT.
In term of quantity, I eat the following amount ever since high school.

Breakfast:
Over-easy egg, omlette, or cereal.

Lunch:
A turkey wrap/sandwich.

Dinner:
2 pieces of grilled chicken, 1 large full plate of salad, 1 sliced of pizza, a bowl of stir fried vegie, a plate fo pasta/spaghetti, 3 glasses of different juice, and a glass of water.

and I can chew down a few heads of salad almost anytime lol. My nickname is goat around the dinning table with my friends...
Yet, this is what I weigh.
I have six pack, but I can barely gain any mass on the chest, arms, and legs, muscle or fat.
I get fat around my neck if I eat too much fat, however >.>
Protein shake gives me the ****, and the excessive protein will probably kill my kidney in the long run :x

Yeah you remind me of Peter Patrelli in that shot

"Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" is basically the first Season's objective and this guy's mission.

And yeah you definitely shouldn't watch it. It has more drama than Days of our lives.

I mean get this. There's a bad guy who steals all sorts of abilities and one of them is a shape-shifting ability. So then at the end of the season this dude kills Peter's brother. His mother can't bear the loss and once they've managed to subdue the bad guy makes a dude with mind-reading/altering powers transfer her dead's son mind to this bad guy to force him to become the dead son and forget his real self and they then go on as if nothing happened. And then through the next season that "brainwashing" starts unraveling.

And yes I know that's a gigantic spoiler but I'm doing everyone who hasn't seen Heroes yet a favour there.

The show promises sooo much and delivers very little leaving tons of stuff just out there in the open never explored again and instead decides to dish up drama that would make a Soap Opera cringe.

Add in 2 more meals, with some snacks in between, then we can start talking about a lot.

But you need the protein to build muscle fast.
Not sure what the "bleeped" word is supposed to be, but drink a shake at least after workout (within 10 minutes), your body will absorb it really fast.
Once you're at your target weight/build, you can cut the protein a bit.

Don't forget, the more muscle you add to your frame, the more calories you'll burn when resting. So the more muscle you have, the more protein you'll need to keep it.

guess you're one of those lucky ectomorphs that can eat whatever they want and still have a six-pack
i doubt protein shakes will give you problems in the long run; as long as you're not 'just' eating protein you should be fine (theres a sickness you get from eating only protein w/o enough fat in your diet, but thats not going to happen with a normal diet).

i've tried a bunch of different types of protein shakes (and in my lifetime have drank literally thousands of shakes), and i know some give you the sh1ts. but my personal favorite right now is:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/cas.html
it doesn't give you a stomach ache or any discomfort, and the chocolate supreme flavor tastes great.
i drink them with water, but if you drink them with milk you'll have more calories and it tastes like chocolate milk.

another delicious one was muscle-milk; but i haven't tried it in years, and i can't remember if that one would give stomach-aches. that one has a lot of extra fat though (and is expensive), so its not something i would drink; but for you as an ectomorph, you can get away with the shakes with higher fat.

aside from protein shakes, i think you should probably pass on the salad, and eat more meat/chicken/fish

if you get serious about training you can get a great body as an ectomorph.
one of my favorite bodybuilders zyzz was an ectomorph, and he got huge.
you just got to eat a ton and lift.

More wieght, less reps.

How much are you benching?

To build muscle you have to lift PAST the point of failure. After failure you muscles have small tears form in the muscle layer, and your body utilizes testosterone and protein to "fill up" the tears, literally adding muscle mass to resist the increased weight load. Bulk first, then cut. You need more size, basically. Whatever you are repping with, add 20 pounds per side to strain your muscles.

And use freewieghts more than machines. It may not be appealing, but for raw size freewieghts win out.

I can't drink regular milk, I need to drink lactose free milk as it just won't digest @@"
Happened all of a sudden when I was in high school, or I used to drink a bottle of regular milk a day.
I'll try to eat more fish and chicken first, or egg whites, after the training first, then see how it goes.
If I still can't I'll try out some shakes again.

Well, a meal of too much protein always makes my urine so yellowish/orangish that scares me @@"

I'll try to pack more weight. I never use machines, as they tend to hurt the bones in the long run.

Water. Lots more water.
A person weighing 80kg needs something along the lines of 3l a day ideally. If I remember correctly.

Totally recommend it. Sadly i won't be able to meet Cid Highwind this time as he moved from here a week ago if i'm not mistaken. However i will rent or just use my car and make a Europe tour

The only problem is time since i work a lot
