lol i agree with squall plus the smaller the town = less pollution(mainly, carburants and chemicals floating in the air), dust and noises. So smaller town are better, as for entertainment actually i get way more at the country side (if you ignore the internet part not that there isn't but its not as speedy as within the city).

In 3rd world countries though, small towns --> farming, sniffing cow dung all day, no TV/Internet, no entertainment spots.

The awesome thing about Germany (and Austria) is that they have this great balance between small towns and big cities, if you live out in the countryside it takes you max an hour to get to the big city where you can get anything you possibly desire...there's no getting stuck out in the middle of nowhere in those two countries.

Not to mention dirt floor, mosquitoes, humidity, bathroom 5 meters from the house. But entertainment spots are easy to find though. Just not the type of entertainment we usually have in mind

I think that's just cuz the countries are geographically not that big in size + excellent road network.
