Put Final Fantasy 9 in your dvd drive and using Pete's CDR ASPI/IOCTL Driver 1.10 go to config and then beside readmode click on try auto-detection. Tell me if it works!

Both my Samsung DVD-ROM SD-608 and my Mitsumi CDR/W-4804TE read sub channel data very well with ePSXe's default CD ROM plugin.

I use CloneCD to make image from game (approx 300 MB) and it message me that "ASUS 50X IDE" can't "read sub-channel data and audio".
The image files is finished and can be mounted by DaemonUI but there is no file or folder on virtual drive and the volume is not shown correctly (approx 600 MB)

Works on Pioneer DVD-104 drive (slot drive).

I have a Creative 5x DVD drive that's really crappy and doesn't support DMA modes, so I will test that this week and edit my post to report if it works or not.

BTW...I just registered...how do I choose a custom avatar?

It doesn't let me add a custom avatar though, only the default FF9 ones... Is it dependant on number of posts probably? I'm brand new to the forum, maybe that's why.

Thanks though for replying.

im running a samsung CD-ROM SC-148C and everything seems to run fine, but a little slow (except tose games that the emulator has probs with)

what exactly does subchannel reading do?

-im still tweaking my setting for the best setup, what are the best configs?
