If it feels good on console, why not.. Was hoping it wouldn't be out of place and them push it anyways.

The loot ideas sound good, the way it was before didn't work. It was perfect for farm bots.

Players are locked at level 60 cap?... Was hoping they didn't just unlock a few levels every expansion.

Ah, but the thing about Starcraft Ghost is that it wasn't being developed solely by Blizzard, and thus didn't manage to meet their quality criteria.

On the Diablo 3 side of things, I saw some of the higher level armor pics... Pretty lame looking. Like something that escaped from NCSoft.

Depends on what game are we talking about, NCSoft does have some nice armors to, for example lineage.

If you look at that video still screen the models do look like Guild Wars a bit.. At a quick glance.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to compare. Either it's the art design (which wouldn't make sense, they're not aiming for the same thing at all) or simply the quality of the models (which also wouldn't make sense).

I mean at a quick glance, that does look like Guild Wars models when I played vanilla way back. Mostly comparable to a few of the warrior armor sets.

Of course there are differences, but just a quick look makes it seem that way looking at it in a little box.

@Kuriboh

Yeah, GW 2 is looking good. Can't wait to give it a try. I played the original for a long time, ran out of stuff to do.

Both the art direction and quality of models(though I'll admit the backgrounds at least look decent) in Diablo 3 is crap. Which is my point.

It was directed at Exodus's comment that implied it looking like an NCsoft title is a bad thing.

I wonder if it's a choice to run better on a range of systems and consoles, or just going to have high specs anyways.

Its a consequence of Blizzard having the game in development for 6 years.

EDIT: Pardon me, 10 years.

Now of course I'm not bashing the game gameplay(which at this point in time should be flawless) but blizzard needs to up on the anti on the visuals. There is no reason for a triple AAA title with such a seemingly endless budget to look like it come out in 2006. Specially considering its being released in 2012(probably).

D3 deals with a huge amount of characters seen at a distance, unlike Blade and Soul which deals with a low amount of characters seen up close. For one of them the best choice is to have high quality models, for the other one the best choice is to have low quality models.

Comparing the model quality of both is quite ridiculous, to be honest. Same reason why I wouldn't compared the graphics of a open-world game to a corridor shooter. They have a very different aim, and very different limitations. If the characters are to take 5% of the screen, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by wasting power on them.

I can see comparing the art design (somewhat), but I actually prefer D3 to that screenshot. That's just personal taste tho, half-naked top models were never my thing in video games.

This is a triple AAA title funded by Blizzard, those who have the extra power to spare should be to use it. The game will look sub par on high res monitors.

Blizzard having money won't magically let them bypass limitations.

Dragon Age dealt with much smaller areas and frequent load screens for a reason.
I also rarely dealt with more than 10 enemies at once in DA:O. I rarely dealt with less than 10 enemies at once in a Diablo game.

Could they make D3 look better? Sure, and they should have.
But it's not nearly as bad as you're making it to be considering this type of game.

What limitations? How much money they can **** in a day?

The game is a Triple AAA title from one of the largest companies in gaming, 10 years in the making. There really is no excuse.
Spoiler:

Dragon Age 2.

"What limitations"? Have you just skipped over what was said?

And Dragon Age 2 is an even WORSE example. The game dealt with smaller areas, LESS enemies (instead coming in waves) and repeated the same decorations in the world all the time. (And yet the world was still mostly empty)

You could try offering more answers instead of simply "They have money, they're a big player in the gaming world" and naming random games.
