Come on RAP.

At 99 bucks is cheaper than a kindle, a galaxy tab 7", a nook, an iPod Touch and many other devices while having better specs.

You got an ebook reader, media player, web browser, doc view and modify, comic viewer.

Heck even VNC.

I can overclock it to 1.7ghz and install some patches that offer better performance.

I don't see no reason against purchasing this.

Don't get me wrong but all the links posted so far contains items that are far from $99 except for HP but they are out of stock..... Or did I miss something?

the deal with amazon is that when the smaller prices are sold out the price jumps up to the next smallest which in some cases could be quite high compared to what they were going for before. Its not amazon selling the item they are just listing it.

Well, that's true. Then again, I see it as a dead end since that's all you'll be getting with it. No emulator, no games, and definitely a lot less developer support.

I'm not one to judge, though, since I don't even own one. If you ever get one, would love to know if there is anything interesting going on with it.

Plus by the time that thing is grown enough to provide a shade, Apple would have gone out of business.

I dare say... I have been waiting for such a thing... since forever!

The button placement "coincidentally" fits with most major emulators on both Android and iOS, and it works for both tablet and phone.

Schumi, I just ordered both of them. Will let you know how they play out once they arrive. But honestly, they might be the one compelling reason for me to go back to Android with a big screen phone...

What can I say... $10 is a steal if it actually works as well as in the video! Will definitely give me a reason to reconsider Android.

It definitely is... for emulation.

Keep in mind this will be in the hands of a lot of hackers at this price.
The homebrew comunity is already working a lot on this, making performance patches, OC kernels and such.

Just read some guys from Cyanogen got their hands on touchpads and want to work on it.

I'm posting from a slow smartphone using opera mini. every script clicked reloads the page, everytime I enter text it reloads the page again. navigation is not as easy as on pc. I have a very slow internet connection where it takes many second for ping and minutes to load a full page. this I worse than 56k and a 486pc running threw next best thing to win 95.
