Mouse/Keyboard Configuration with Dolphin

I'm emulating Rune Factory Frontier on the latest version of Dolphin, and although game starts fine I have no idea how to set it up for mouse/keyboard to work together. Currently my mouse cursor does not emulate the Wii cursor.

If one of you can post a screenshot of your working configuration that would be awesome.

Here are my specs, if that's necessary:

Intel i7 Q740M 1.73 Ghz
HD Radeon 5870M
1TB HDD
Windows 7
Using Dolphin r6537 x64

The "Upright Wiimote" option should be what prevents you from pointing onto the screen. Try unchecking it.

DirectSound 1.0.1.4 beta: 22050 Hz - Stereo - Synchronize (or No Synchronize if speed is really slow) - buffer of 7 seconds
OpenGL 3D: unless stated otherwise, enable Software Lights and disable Shaders and Fog.

I actually checked that to see if it would enable the mouse. It didn't work, I just forgot to uncheck it in that screenshot.

I have the same problem, on last revisions (I don't know when this has started..) the WII cursor does not recognize the mouse movements (for example on Mario Kart WII) an it appears "locked" on the screen, on Dolphin 2.0 RC1 it works perfect, any idea?

Sounds to me like we need to switch to an earlier, more stable revision. I'm kind of new to this so it would also be much appreciated if someone can tell us which one currently works best.

r6321 with no settings touched still gives me no mouse support.

Would you mind posting your mouse/keyboard setup as a screenshot so we can replicate it?

Also Dolphin 2.0 gives me very bad framerates because I'm assuming it wasn't built for x64.

One thing that's funny though, when I tried Rune Factory 2 on the Revision versions of Dolphin I get some graphical bugs, like black terrain. But Dolphin 2.0 gives me no such problem. Although 2.0 drops my performance down to about 58% while I run a full 100% with the revisions.

Dolphin 2.0=performance and stability
Revisions=Accuracy
You just have to change settings until you see one that works great!
And yeh the mouse doesn't work on 2.0 :S

I'm beginning to think this is more a hardware or Windows' settings issue than a Dolphin issue. Mouse aiming works fine for me in all revisions listed in this thread and I didn't have to enable/disable any special settings to make it work, either.

Does pressing the "Default" button help?
I think you should have "Cursor X/Y ±" rather than "Axis X/Y ±" (which varies whenever the mouse moves but tends to come back to the centre of the screen/window, and finally may be confused with the joystick of a gamepad if one is selected is a device instead of Keyboard/Mouse)...

Then, try to confirm whether you can move the dot under "IR" (by moving the mouse cursor over the game window) in the Wiimote Config window or not.

Dot moves when I move my cursor over it. And as you can see from the screenshot there is no "default" button.

Unless I'm a total idiot and totally missing it, which is actually quite probable.

Actually, you need to follow these steps for Dolphin 3.0

1> Open the Wiimote Config
2> RIGHT CLICK on the UP direction for the IR pointer
3> another window will pop up
4> scroll ALL the way down
5> choose CURSOR Y-
6> click on the select button on the right
7> click on set
8> follow the same for Down, Right, Left
9> Enjoy!

The exact same thing can be done in lesser (and simpler) steps, assuming you didn't configure any button mappings to begin with:

1) Open the "Dolphin Wiimote Configuration" window.
2) Click the "Configure" button (which opens a sub-window allowing you to set up button mappings).
3) In the button mapping window, click the "Default" button between "Device" and "Profile", and near the "Clear" button.
4) ???
5) Profit.

The "right-click a control in order to create advanced button mappings" trick can prove useful, for example, if you want both the left mouse button and a gamepad button to have an effect on the Wiimote A button (by OR-ing the two inputs).

Dolphin on Mac

I'm having the exact same problem as you.. I've been searching over the entire internet! But i'm using Mac OS X 10.7.3, and I have the newest Dolphin emulator out.. I tried follow your advice and set all the IR (up, down, left and right), to Y-. The problem is just that.. I only have Axis? However, if I click the "Default", the cursor-keys appears again. But it won't respond to my mouse-cursor.
