What a piece of crap. Where are the guns and the kill streaks and the perks and the boby and the kotick? This game is gonna suck.

It was a "if is not COD it sucks" joke :P. But in all honesty i dont think its so amazing. The trailer is ok. Now the game sounds amazing.

an open-world, survival-horror game with a first-person perspective, but the idea is to focus on melee combat and RPG elements and it will feature a clear focus on story-telling as well as four-player, drop-in, drop-out combat.
I think this is going to be the closest thing i will get from my dream 28 Weeks Later game. I have high hopes for this. Im a big fan of Bound in Blood.

Dunno i wasn't impressed by neither the the trailer or the description, guess i'm just to used to the RE style of having a nice arsenal to deal with those innocent pony loving zombies...

It looks like the sequel to Mirror's Edge may not be quite as canceled as we thought.

Swedish site Press2Play.tv reported earlier this week that the planned sequel to Mirror's Edge, the innovative but flawed parkour action game EA released in 2008, had been canned. EA DICE chief Patrick Söderlund said the game was close to his heart but hadn't sold very well, so the sequel had "stalled" and the people working on it had been reassigned to other projects.

Today, however, things have taken on a bit of a different tone. An EA rep said in a statement sent to 1Up that Mirror's Edge is "an important franchise" and that the company has "nothing further to announce" regarding its future. DICE General Manager Karl Magnus Troedsson, meanwhile, made a rather caustic comment about the situation on Twitter, writing, "Fascinated how serious game media sites can stir up an article based on rumor milling, loose quotes and assumptions."

It was also noted in the original reported that Söderlund said in an interview with a different Swedish site that EA was very much interested in making a sequel and that despite the difficulties with the first game, it still felt the franchise was worth supporting.

It's not a definitive statement that we'll be seeing more of Faith in the future, but the simple fact that it's not as dead as we were led to believe is good news for fans of the franchise. Mirror's Edge was far from perfect but it was pretty damn good, and I'd love to see EA take another run at it.

Spoiler:
posted about the cancellation last time here so i thought i might as well follow up.

Blizzard has apparently confirmed it’s working on a console port of Diablo III, having posted an ad for a senior producer on Gamasutra specifically for the game.

The job requires “a minimum of 4 years experience in the video game industry” and the successful candidate “must have shipped at least one AAA console title in a senior producer role.”

This is the first time Blizzard has explicity said Diablo III is being worked on as a console game.

The news will come as little surprise. Blizzard has talked relatively openly about the possibility of a console port of the hugely anticipated action-RPG for at least six months.

Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime said at DICE earlier this month that, “I think you could make an argument that a game like Diablo might play very well on a console. It’s something that we’re actually doing an investigation into to see if that could make sense.”

The company said in November last year that it was hiring for a “Diablo-related concept” for consoles, but failed to say what the project actually was.

In October last year, Blizzard’s Jason Bender told VG247 at Blizzcon that Diablo III was “suited” to consoles.

Diablo III was originally announced at Blizzard’s Worldwide Invitational in Paris in 2008.

The game’s never been dated, but Activision said recently that it doesn’t expect a Blizzard title to release in 2011, but that two games will arrive from the company in 2012.
I have a hard time envisioning how it would play well on a console personally but whatever, hopefully doesn't delay the PC version... But probably will. (or already has)

Why? all you did was hold a click on the mouse to attack and move with the other lol. Diablo 1 was on consoles too. This isn't surprising at all. All this is going to do is give elitist idiots an excuse if 3 doesn't meet their expectations. "This game is riuined cus they made for consoles! and like if it was a pc exclusive it would be a lot better! **** you blizzard imma never buy another game from you hur hhur*.

Torchlight 2 on the PC was delayed due to Torchlight 1 on the consoles. That was even more confusing, but they said they found tweaks/changes/whatnot to make the PC version of the sequel better due to it. Engh, whatever. I'm in no rush to play it. I'd rather the game be done right if it means a delay.

I realize that and actually own it. Was much better on the PC.

So, all consoles will be running through Battlenet? I can assume how it's going to be on consoles in terms of play, pretty much like the PC but with a controller. I guess my hope is people aren't divided.

WAAAAAY better on PC. My thumb got all weird from having to hold down the D-pad all the time. Might be better with analog. Not to mention one of the few games that froze on my PSX.

I'm going to be honest. The trailer for Dead Island was pretty interesting. However, what makes it good, makes it bad. It tells us nothing of the game. It hooks you in with creativity, originality, and an emotional hook on the family, but, what about the game!? This game was supposedly announced/started back in 2007. If there's no public release of much of anything besides this trailer, I take that as more of a bad thing. If it's something like an odd mix of Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising 2, then all of this hype is for nothing.

Intern Arena: Is the Dead Island trailer overrated? | PC Gamer

I'm split. The trailer ITSELF is alright. What a trailer is supposed to be for, the GAME, that's another matter. It didn't do it's job to inform me of much of anything. Okay, zombies. What else? Oh, I have to go look it up and find a bunch of rumors and stuff swirling about it?

Don't get me wrong, it's worth watching out for and has potential, and the trailer itself, if that's all you judge it for, not bad at all. However, it is generating alot more hype than I think it merits for how little we know and have heard of the game, especially until now when it's supposedly been announced/started in 2007.
