Thats strange. I've played for like 2h and didn't save almost never, didn't get a single freeze. Are you using european version or usa?. The eu version is a little less stable with the patch than the usa one.

Don't post the illegal rom names in the forum its against the rules. And im using windows 7. Well the best thing u can do is to wait for a new version of the patch maybe a v3 will come out. I can't help you further on.

Do any of you have any idea how to make No$gba read the edited save file after using Pokesav on SS?

Hey thank you very much for this, I'm playing SoulSilver (didn't find a copy of HG to buy around here) and it seems it DOES help on the freezing. Before this i did like 20~24 events and it froze, now i'm in like 40 and nothing so far. I'm grinding my pokemons atm, still no badges. (and man the fastforward button sure is the only thing that makes me play on emulators, thank heavens for it).

Oh yeah, i'm a windows vista user and i'm using no$gba 2.6a and no$zoomer 2.3.0.2 (no extra options enabled) and i'm using that action replay stated as well.

I've read on gbatemp that it freezes around 100ish events, but that may be because they were playing on flashcards. I'll post here if it happens to freeze later on. To the guy above having issues, you probably made a bad dump of your cartridge.

edit: oh yeah, and it loaded my save from the unpatched game AND i'm playing the U version.

EDIT2: Got to violet city with my base 3 pokemons grinded to lvl 11 each, NO freezes nor crashes! Now all i have to do is wonder if i should stay with my lvl 11 geodude or if i start using my traded Onyx (which i got from trading a belsprout in violet) hmmmm so far this patch is awesome =)

EDIT3: Hate to keep editing, but it's best than triple posting.
Anyways, i got a graphical bug (my char became fuzzy green sprites) at the third floor of belsprout tower, but i just got down and up the ladder again and it went back to normal. - Got the first badge from Falkner, no freezes still =D
- Another graphical glitch (and also not a big deal) at Dark Cave, after fighting a Zubat (only happened once) my char became invisible, but it went back to normal after one pkmn battle in the same cave.

As stated at gbatemp this patch is getting positive responses on falshcards, it doesn't fully stop freezes but increases the time of when it happens. It's according to your flashcard (but i don't understand it very well, don't bother saying which you have). Some freezes after 60 events, others 100, some guy said it took 200 and there were others that didnt experience anything.
It's completely up to you to test it, but like i said, it really helps.
Just don't forget to apply the patch onto a completely clean dump (hahahah it's funny to type something like that). If the one you have is encrypted with that encrypter thing, it won't work, gotta be clean.

Are saves that were unpatched compatible after you patch it? Is there any way to make them compatible if they are not? I'm already six hours into the game.

@adas95.
I can only guarantee that it works freezeless on the no$gba. But its worth a try on every flashcard.

@DrFire
Read the previous site, yes they are compatible.

Very happy to see that it works for everybody . Did anyone checked yet the pokeathlon, if it still lags badly? I would but i went new game after the patch came, so im still at the third gym.

Meh. Hour of playing (and saving with one freeze) and the game crashed. Reset my save game. An hour I enjoyed playing and don't feel like redoing. Seems like I entered my room and when I exited my house the gfx were messed up and once I tried to correct it by entering Prof. Elm's place it crashed. Don't think I'll be risking that again. Hope it's fixable in the future.

It works very well on flashcards too. Without the patch it freezed like every 10-20 events, and then, never frezzed once for 3 hours.

Thxs a lot
