Wow... it's so sad. Such a young vibrant life snuffed out. He was the most knowledgable member when it came to videocard tech and i'd always read his posts when I came across them.

I hope his friends and family take care.

Chris had contracted H1N1 during his stay in Vegas for CES, before he was hospitalized. There have been established links between it and bacterial pneumonia, and I'm afraid he may have been part of that unfortunate statistic. Pneumonia is still a very serious condition by today's standards.

To all of those who have left their memories and condolences, I deeply thank you. It means a lot to know that so many people appreciate what he did for us. He was indeed worthy of such praise and commemoration, and it just won't be the same without him. I owe much of my passion and knowledge in computer/graphics hardware to Chris, and I had nothing but respect for him. It will be very difficult to go on, but to fully honor his memory we should do exactly as he did: work through the hard times and strive to help others as best we can.

Rest in peace, Chris.

His funeral was yesterday in Tulsa, Ok US. A few of the guys at Nvnews.net may have actually gone to it since some of them lived there.

Damn, they say AH1N1 is a hoax and there you go..another young man passes . Most people have it as a simpe cold but the unfortunate who have chronic diseases ( like diabetes or undiscovered heart problems) or are overweight ( Chris seemeed to be a little ) or with a weak immune system develop the severe form . In my country a well known TV star died of H1N1 which caused a national panic , people were standing in line for hours and hours just to get vaccinated .

H1N1 as a pandemic is a hoax. H1N1 itself is real.

nobody dies directly from H1N1, they die from secondary infections and not taking care of themselves properly while they have it.

Display of goodwill is priceless and lasts. A fair recognition for a most knowledgeable supporter of the brand among the hobbyist community.

Feels strange not having Chris give us some clues so close to release of a new architecture from Nvidia.

I saw this only today, and it makes me really sad

I met ChrisRay way back in 2003, and he was a great guy to have around. Had a couple of heated arguments with him, such as whether Zelda counted as a RPG. It was all good-nature banter, though, and I thought highly of him.

Hadn't heard from him since 2005, what a pity.

Rest in peace, ChrisRay.
