Its supposed to be 1Mbps at night after 10 whereas its 15:30 hours here and the speed is 1.5Mbps

Tried downloading something? SpeedTest reports my 1mbps connection to be 2 or 2.5 on numerous occasions.

I download torrents at 1.2 - 2 Megabytes per second all the time so it's fine for me.

Rapidshare has the download limit **** to deal with, unless you buy a pro account, but in that case you might of well have gotten a usenet account.

I have an RS account which I share with my friend, so its ok for me. I tried using Torrents but it was slow for me, although it could have been the fact that I had the wrong settings? I don't know

It's really all in the seed:leech ratio. Brand new torrents tend to be slow, as do old ones. But middle-aged torrents are usually pretty fast.

Usenet is amazingly fast, though. I've reached 2.5-3MB/s on it. But it's not really worth the monthly fee, IMO.
