just tried two player mode and the square does go away. If you look at the video thought he still gets square at about 1.18 min into video. But hey no square for 2 player mode that's cool speed also seems about same.

But I think Mario Kart Wii supports gamecube controllers, so you might try using the gamecube controler. The GC controller plugin supports multi-player.

I'm just having problem with njoy 0.4v. Every time I click on the button I want to map, it just takes my mouse input and assigns it.

how is the game working with the wii remote? are the controls working well or are there any issues (like slow movement detection or something)?

Mario Kart Wii doesn't work for me. I replace the save file and I'm using one of the latest revisions (1474) but the video doesn't load, all I hear is sound and dolphin still says 'Loading' at the top. This happened in both vista x64 and vista x86, I tried dolphin x86 as well. Nothing...can anyone help? I know this was mentioned earlier in the post, but I did not see an actual fix for the problem.

Oh yeah Progressive Scan was it.
But the game still isn't playable past menus...
Also when I exit and try to open it again it says the save is corrupt and won't load, and I have to replace it again :o

I hope this becomes playable sometime in the near future! Sound is phenomenally good...

It is playable you are doing something wrong "# Enable Progressive Scan: Off, on gave a black screen
# Optimize Quantizers: Off, otherwise there will be graphical errors"
also remember to enable both hack and use ogl plugin

Finally, ingame! I found that enabling copy EFB texture allows for the menus to show up correctly, but it slows down the game considerably. I disabled it in game for full speed 1 player, and 45fps with 2. That black box is kind of annoying, though...

full speed is 60 fps on mario kart wii, check on youtube one video of mario kart wii on a real wii, and you will see the real speed, is very very fast.
