Tower Heist 7/10 A good film it builds up to something that might have a really good second half but then it just kinda goes downhill. But still worth watching.

Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson - 10/10

Excellent biography directed by Alex Gibney and narrated by Johnny Depp. Colorful individual with an interesting political perspective; most things I honestly agree with.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

Manly tears.

Couldn't hold back no matter how hard I tried, that ending was superbly done. For the rest of the movie, it stand pretty strong considering how much of a budget it had, the Enterprise looked absolutely gorgeous and the acting was magnificent for the most part. It's a long movie and by today's standards fairly slow. For sci-fi of its age however, it is truly amazing.

The best part is the old woman seeing her fridge trying to attack her and demands her to feed it!

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - 7.5/10

Just like Raiders of the Lost Ark it's the first time I'm watching this.
It's a brilliant movie but once again there's stuff that drags it down from the rating it should get. This one for instance has a great ride but there's not that much pay-off at the end and possibly a little too much faffing around near the start. Also the kid is way more awesome than Indie. And the movie creeps me out way too much, granted that's personal bias, but still.

It's my least favorite Indie movie... Yes, I consider it worse than the new one. I'm not saying the movie is complete crap but it's just mostly annoying.

The Hunger Games - 5/10

If you know Battle Royale, you will NOT like this movie the least bit.

In fact, if you know Battle Royale, I would say... stay far away from this atrociously poor excuse of a copy.

Thanks for the warning... I really like Battle Royale you know, but I might still see this when it hits the DVDs.

I almost agree. It's just that I find this one more realistic/sensible/polished than the first. Recorded The Last Crusade but I haven't watched it yet, I suspect it'll be my favourite though. And I watched the first part of the new one yesterday and it's well...just flat somehow...that chase through the jungle was awesome though. Unfortunately I didn't get to see the whole thing since another show I wanted to watch came on.

I really feel like watching Relic Hunter now though.

Despite the newest one being kinda flat, at least it did not irritate me like Temple of Doom did... And it did have some funny moments, like the incredibly stupid nuke-proof-fridge scene.

Relic hunter is awesome... I remember watching it back when it first ran here and then again some of it as it was rerun here during christmas.

One for the money, 7/10. Interesting enough to keep some to the end. Good ending imo.

Puss in boots 8/10 - Really good film to watch, some really funny bits that made me lol

Batman Year One - 8/10 This basically tells a story of how Gordon started out in Gotham City and Bruce becoming batman.

All Star Superman - 7/10

Green Lantern Emerald Lights - 7/10 This was more of a collection of stories which were part of the mian plot. It was ok but I would have preferred a whole story.

Justice League Doom 8/10 I've always loved JLA and this one was no different. really good and I enjoyed it

Well, they did the first part so hastily in Brotherhood, mostly because they didn't just want to waste time on redoing stuff they already did but... In the original(not Brotherhood) they used a lot of time to set up different characters, even those who died, like:

Spoiler:
I didn't really feel any connection to Hughes in Brotherhood, while in the original his death was like a punch in the face... His character was one of the best in it and it felt like he was important.

I kinda think that if you combined the well made foundations of the original with the "real" ending of Brotherhood, it would've made a pretty damn epic anime... Although I really liked the ending of the original(even after the Shamballa thing).

But yeah, I really recommend watching both movies, Conqueror of Shamballa and The Star of Milos...

-------------------------

Dagon - 7/10

One of the best movie adaptations to the stories made by H.P. Lovecraft. And this despite it being made with a very low budget.
Definetly a must see for those who like Cthulhu stories...

-----------------------

Descent - 3/10

What a crappy movie... Annoying and too dark to see anything.
A bunch of stupid women going to a place obviously not safe and getting killed, that's the whole movie in a nutshell. Oh right, and did I mention they did this because one of them had just lost her family and they decided to take her into dark caves and then they get attacked by "falmers" ...And they didn't even give us boobs despite the cast being women only, unless you count the saggy "falmer" boobs
