Hello...I'm currently playing FF12. So far, the game play is decent. A little slow occasionally but overall not bad. However, the sound is always slow and choppy or it skips during normal game play but it doesn't sound choppy or skip when it's playing cut scenes. I just recently downloaded this program (pcsx2 vs. 0.9.7.2661 (svn)) and I'm not yet completely familiar with all of the features yet. Perhaps someone with more experience could help out. My computer only has a single core processor but since the graphics seem to work just fine, I'm guessing it's the sound settings that are causing the sound issues. So...a little pcsx2 audio set up 101, maybe? Or would a newer version of pcsx2 help? Website links may be of help here.

Try limiting to 60 fps in the graphics settings. The sound maybe linked to the progression of the game, so if it goes to fast sound bites could overlap or skip. This fixed sound issues for me in several games. Granted it was on epsxe, not the ps2 emulator, I imagine it could be a similar issue.
