PS1 game "Casper" spu timeout status 7 error

Hi Experts,

This question has been asked earlier but was not for Mac OSX PCSX emulator

I am facing an issue right at the beginning of the game when I try to go into any of the other rooms from the hall.

I have used PCSX-reloaded and PCSX for mac osx but both have the same error.
Please let me know how to get past this error, I have searched a lot on google and gone through various forums but have not found any solution.

I have:
mac osx
casper .bin file
the plugins are already in the emulator and I am not sure how to modify/change them, in case that is to be done here.

I would really appreciate your help.
