I already did that first day I ran into this problem. If you moved the selection over XP - you'd get same message I got: Software: Title: Software Not Required Software Version: N/A Post Date: N/A Platform: Windows XP File Size: N/A Download Instructions This product does not ship with software. It uses the native USB drivers already present in your operating system. That's why I said it's a plug and play. I already checked, double checked, triple check to make sure I'm not wasting anyone time... It's other sound drivers that is conflicting with this one... My speaker is connected, installed and such but it's NOT making noises. :-/ |

It's basically an audio library sort of similar to DirectX for Video You want the 3rd option in the downloads page, the OpenAL installer for windows. Also try updating your DirectX install (download the webinstaller from MS and let it do it's job). If neither of these two things work though then I'm all out of options and haven't a clue what else could be wrong...and as I said troubleshooting sound issues with a deaf person is almost impossible.

I updated DirectX last week to DirectX End-User Runtime - so that one's done unless it's different from what you meant? I can hear actually, just... "hard of hearing" but not enough experience to understand sounds. (I can understand most noises but I don't understand ANYTHING when people speaks, lol) Let me give No$Cash another swing after OpenAL thing |

Yeah OpenAL is a small and pretty quick install. As for updating DirectX well that's kinda what you did, but there are additional files as well, the DirectX webinstaller will check what you've got against what's available and get you everything you don't have yet. I seriously don't know what's causing the problems if that doesn't change anything. I'd guess it's still some sort of driver issue but I haven't a clue what.

Right screen? Never mind. If it hangs after you defeat it, you need to set Sound Emulation under F11 to anything other than Off.

Hi there, is there a way to eliminate the 3d edge marking in pokemon Diamond? Black lines display on buildings and other objects. I switch rendering to openGL but it lags.

You need a sound card, at least. The problem is, the sound data is not processed this way. There's no workaround for No$, either. You might try Desmume, though.
