I thought the cool times for EA was in the mid 80s when the "Record" case games were released on the C64, Atari 4/6/800, Apple 2e, etc.

I repurchased Populous on GOG and still have my Genesis copy of the game I purchased directly from Electronic Arts Direct, plus rented previously numerous times.

Just found this site:
http://www.insanedifficulty.com/board/index.php?app=ccs

Anyone tried it?

I'm going to try it on FFIX, since it's way too easy in it's original form.

Disagree, I liked that period when those studios got their initial access to more dev money; FMVs for the Wing Commander & C&C series, able to invest in oddball projects such as Sims and Ultima Online, Bullfrog releasing Dungeon Keeper... EA themselves were introducing great stuff like Need For Speed, the 'VR Stadium' series of their sports games.

Anyway, was trying out that Steam Profile Analysis thing and got back my report card. About a third of the games in my Steam library have yet to be played. Wow. And a quarter of the time on Steam was playing... Champions Online. WTF. That's not counting the 50+ hours before they were on Steam.

Sadly enough, the CO server population has died out (a lot) after DCUO became F2P as well, even the guild I'm in is barely functional now. Gonna miss all those 'help-newbies-with-their-****-so-you-can-recover-your-stars' run, it's one of those neat things that encouraged vets to actually give a damn about noobs.

My experience with DCUO: people running around doing their own ****, while the main heroes/villains of the day (in the story) are still the DC characters. Doesn't help you WILL have a 80% identical clone of yourself somewhere in your zone, making your cookie-cutter hero/villain status even more obvious.

Ahahaha, true. But at least they're trying hard to have a reason why these obscure folks have to dole out quests.

I am very close to uninstalling DCUO myself, waiting for GW2 to come out instead. And got a 7-day trial for Tera, which I am pondering this very moment to try out or not.

10 bucks? Definitely not remake. Maybe a better spin of the old PC release, with PSF-grade music, retextured with better models.

Thanks, I bookmarked it.

Here's my results.

Paratech2008 | Games Owned: 356 | Percentage Played: 55.90%
Full Steam Analysis Profile: Paratech2008

I'm working on it, but some of the DOSBOX games don't show I played them, Doom, Doom II, Commander Keen, and Castle Wolfenstein 3D for examples.

Forget that, it seems it's even coming to Steam. Whatever its state, day one purchase for many for long.
Personally I'd pass, emulated versions kick ass in compareason.

While at it, FF8 too was supposedly in deployment preparation there too since december (as shown by checking internal Steam ids). A pack is likely.
