The same power output limitation can affect all cards that draw more than 75 watts from the slot, no matter if they have additional power connectors. It depends on the design of the card in that case.

Ah, I did not know this was raised from 75W. I know that the slot could provide a bit more than 75W and that that was somewhat a superficially imposed limit, but I thought that 75W was it.
