screen seperation
Looked around for a bit and couldnt find an exact answer to what i was looking for. Normally i use No$Zoomer and i enjoy seperating my screens to both ends of my monitors. Is this not possible with DeSmuME through a mod or basic functions? |

Yeah, I meant I wanted clarification. You want the windows to be independent of each other so you can move them however? You want them to take up two separate screens? You just want them to fully extend from top to the bottom of your screen? Something else? Perhaps a screenshot/drawing would help?

So with No$Zoomer i can un-glue both DS screens from each other, and move them around accordingly to however i like it. I use dual monitor's so the setup i use is having One screen on each monitor. With desmume, it seems i can't quite gain the same advantage or so i haven't found out how yet, basicly i want to know if i can do the same thing. Currently i have it where both screens are glued together, so in order to have 1 DS screen focused dead center, the 2nd DS screen is half hanging off of the 2nd monitor. Resizing doesn't help because both monitors are running different resolutions and are different sizes in general. |

independent would be best, moving left to right, not going top to bottom.

Ok yeah DeSmuME can't do that. But what you could perhaps do is change the LCD Layout to being horizontal and then pick the widest border you can and position DeSmuME so the border is in the divide between the screens.

Sadly thats what i already have it set up as, thats okay. its not a big deal, was more curious if there was a fix for it. Im still using 9.6 the "screen separation" tab is greyed out to me because its set as horizontal, Is this changed and usable in 9.7? Otherwise i don't really see any other way. and as always Thanks for your time. |

Oh sorry, I didn't know that it doesn't allow screen separation when it's set to horizontal. Seems it's still the case on 0.9.8. You really should use the latest version though, there are always improvements to be had.

Yea i just updated earlier, seems to run a bit smoother which is great. i see your pretty active on here, if you have any influence with speaking with the desmume team please pass along a request for either independant windows or to at least make horizontal a viable option for the separation feature it currently has. and again thanks for your time. |

Nope I'm afraid they just do their own thing and would treat my suggestion the same as any other. Though now that I think about it I should probably just have pointed out from the very start they have their own forum on their site and you would have more luck reaching one of the contributers there.

For me me thats another reason to stay away from this emulator right now. I use No$zoomer with 2 monitors and I doubt I could go back to using a single montior or having it take up a lot less space on my main monitor since my secondary monitor is a lot smaller but its perfectly find for a screen that doesnt get much use in games. Second montior is a 1024x768 15inch lcd from dell and my main monitor is 1600x900 20inch from HP and the seprate screens makes playing a whole lot easier for me. I also use a game pad and love it. I also have a weaker cpu so i am stuck running NO$GBA. Being able to have the same feature in DeSmuME would be a godsend when I get my new pc.

its been one of the primary reasons as to why iv not taken this emulator up as a main source, i prefer No$ because of this reason and a few more, However in rare cases i find a game not able to work to my expectations on No$ so i swap to this instead. Hence the outdated version Lol Yea im using a 36inch HDTV for my main monitor, using a custom res of 1808x992 and a 22inch monitor at 1280x960 Making sure i get the full use out of both screens is always a must for me, and sometimes a hassle. |

Honestly at 36" unless you're sitting on the other side of the room running them normally/vertically would be just fine and still more than big enough.

Actually yes, you're pixelating the thing to the point you may as well be looking at a DOS game.
