So I was browsing DeviantArt and someone had posted in their journal some information about the upcoming Wii game, Xenoblade.

I know a lot of you are very excited for the upcoming game. I never heard of this rumor until today and when I talked to a friend of mine that works for Gamestop, he confirmed that what I heard is correct.

I apologize if this has already been posted.

Anyways, seems like Xenoblade will be a Gamestop exclusive title. If you were waiting to get the game a few months down the road of it's release, you're going to be hard pressed to find a copy. Reason being is that they will only release enough copies of Xenoblade to fulfill the pre orders. Suddenly, I remember last November when the Special Edition of Skyward Sword came out and they sold like hot cakes (tho they were not exclusive to just one store, they sold out so freakin' quick).

So what do you guys think? Is this unfair?

I don't want to pay 60 USD for a game and then end up finding out that it sucks to me. Because of the number of games only fulfilling the pre order demand, I don't feel like I could even read reasonable reviews to judge the game somewhat on whether I should buy it or not.

Hey Bree! Xenoblade was a bit underwhelming in my opinion. I thought the storyline would be pretty deep after the first hour of the game, but it ending up being really simplistic. Never got around to finishing it.

Anyways, you still might be able to pick it up second-hand off of ebay or something later on.

Xenoblade being exclusive to Gamestop has been known for some time now, its not unfair at all since this game probably won't sell that well over here since its on wii. Also its $49.99 USD cuz its a wii game

I've played Xenoblade already, its one of the best wii games in terms of graphics, story, music, and gameplay. It looks much nicer in Dolphin too

Yeah, I would have been bothered by it a LOT more if it wasn't for Dolphin. But usually for big console games that I can get the physical game for, I try to buy them.

Thank you Yelo, it would be 50 USD instead of 60 USD. I forgot that Wii games generally sell at least 10 bucks less than the PS3 and the Xbox 360.

So it's obviously an RPG but is it like a more "complex" RPG like Final Fantasy or the "average" RPG like the Pokemon handheld color games? Lol hopefully that question makes sense. xD

I made payments at Gamestop and now only owe $20, which I'll pay at the beginning of the month. I'm looking forward to the game and God willing will start playing it within a week of getting it.

IMSHO if you pass getting it now, it will cost more later *used* like the Metroid Prime Trilogy limited edition.

But maybe you won't like it. Its a risk you have to decide for yourself.

I "whined" to Nintendo about bring it to the US, I'm buying it.

Yeah everything about the game was at least, better than average. I'm actually liking The Last Story a lot better so far. Unfortunately, on Dolphin, it doesn't run so well, and my saves keep getting corrupted, so i had to restart twice now, and it's currently on hiatus until it gets fixed :P

For Xenoblade, i was genuinely interested in the story during the beginning because it was mysterious, and i wanted to know what was going on in the world. But it turned out to be very simplistic and predictable, which was unfortunate.
