I'm trying to play Kingdom Hearts on my Mac with PCSX2, the game looks pretty good, but keeps crashing in the same spot.

Here's what the terminal said last time I attempted to play:

Im guessing it's after the first 'boss' in the dream sequence? Let him kill you and the story progresses anyways.

Nope, before that. It's when I'm talking to the three islanders, and they ask me what I'm afraid of, etc.

Never had a freeze there, and i played the game last week.

What version of pcsx2 are u using? Im going to guess a very old one, since the crash im talking about happens only on newer versions. Check out emucr.com for a new build.

I'm using version 0.9.6, which, as far as I can tell is the newest version for Mac.

Are you on a Mac too? If so, what are your settings?

You could install windows via bootcamp and run pcsx2 that way would solve the issue completely

Why send him there when he could easily just go to the main site and download the latest svn from there?

I tried another virtualization app, but it wouldn't give the virtual machine enough processing power.

YEah virutal machines arent powerful enough for this emulator and they just dont have the right code to take full advantage of the pcs hardware. What bootcamp does is install windows alongside Mac OSX do that it has full hardware access which you dont get from programs like virtualbox.

Yes, I am aware of that, but I can't partition my machine, so boot camp isn't a solution.
Besides "Install Windows" is not a solution to run the Mac version.

The problem is that the mac edition is far behind either the windows or linux editions.
