Multi-disc question

This may be in the wrong place but I used the guide up there to create backup copies of my PS1 games to play on my PS2. I've been doing the swap method where you put the normal PS1 game in then swap it for the backup. I DO OWN ORIGINAL COPIES. Just some of them are scratched too bad to play anymore, etc.

So here's the question, games like FFVIII and such with multiple discs, will burned backups work like that? When it comes to the screen saying "Insert disc 2" will it recognize the burned copy?
