3D Ripper DX Help
Hello everyone, good to be here. If this is the wrong place to discuss this please let me know. I am currently trying to use the program 3D Ripper DX to extract some models from the game Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, while I have been a little successful, there are some speed bumps that have made extraction difficult. For those of you who have done this before, your help is appreciated. First off, 3D Ripper DX is set up to only use F1 - F12 for it's hotkeys, which conflicts with the Play, Take Screenshot, and Load State save slots on Dolphin. This makes trying to rip models impossible because Dolphin doesn't realize that I am trying to use the hotkeys for 3D Ripper DX, and not Dolphin. Second, the successful model rips are horribly, horribly skewed in 3ds Max. While anyone could try and adjust the models manually, this isn't exactly a favorable method of fixing the issue. If there is a more "professional" way of accurately correcting the model skewing please let me know. Third, Metal Arms seems very picky about what settings it wants you to use when booting up, and crashes a lot on the "Licensed by Nintendo" screen. Messing with the configuration and graphics works sometimes, but not always and the game still crashes often on startup. When the game does decide it wants to work, everything moves in slow motion. If there's someone out there who knows what the ideal settings are for Metal Arms please let me know. In case this is important, I'm using the 32 bit version of Dolphin since 3D Ripper DX doesn't work with the 64 bit version. Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Intel Core i7 CPU 930 @2.80Hz (8CPUs), ~2.8GHz Radeon 5870 6144MB RAM |
