That error means that it's likely that your video card has an inadequate featureset. A DX9-compliant video card is the minimum requirement.

It's the hardware, a GF4 from the MX series does not support Pixel Shading.

Err I have the same problem except my comp is really old. I was trying espcx and it kept displaying no wlg extension.

I have a 6yr old pentium II processor with a ATI 3D RAGE LT Pro video card. Suggestions would be appreciated.

After I couldn't get that to work I tried PSX and I can't get that work either so I'm updating windows to service pack 2, which may be PSX's prob.

This ain't the ePSXe section or whatever you use (And get a dam new computer you won't even be able to play a Snes emulator at full speed with that)

Btw. espcx ... is that a hybrid of ePSXe and PCSX?

I realize it isn't the right section, it's a similar problem and figured well could be the same answer.

Hehe, I have 328ram and can run snes full speed lol, and sega too.

and, espcx I think I typed it wrong, but probably not. when I dl'd it, it asked for psx locations and psx2 so could be a hybrid or mabye I'm a newb...

It's best you get a new computer and a gfx card that's supports WGL Extensions

you can get a decent one for about £200 -$350

Any other ideas? Is there a plugin to dl or something.

Actually one emu says "no wlg extensions" and another (psx, still general) supports is just fine, although the games runs slow.. like half speed, and how is that fixed.

@Rockfire: calm down hehe, i know how you feel

If the emu needs a DX9 compliant graphics card, then your gonna need at least a GeForce FX, 6,7 and 8 series or a Radeon 9500 and above graphics card for shader model 2.0 functions, anything less than those and you will only have pixel and vertex shader 1.1 to 1.4(Geforce 3 and 4Ti series, Radeon 8500 to 9250 series), lower than these means no pixel shaders, just Hardware TnL

Any card that supports SM2, is capable of running GLSL, which contains the WGL Extensions required.

You must be running atleast Forceware 90, since the GLSL in Forceware 80 is a debug version, and very limited.
