Angry The Dolphin?

Anyone know where this supposed GC emulator came from? If you haven't seen it yet, there are some screenshots on the NGemu homepage.

Re: The Dolphin?

Somebody coded it but didn't make a release AFAIK. ( they, he, she ) has just been sending images of this GC emulator which appears to be very real. I know something that would be very easy to emulate.. the Zelda bonus disc! Muhahaha..hehehe

Well, at the rate they are getting through stuff, that zelda bonus disc might not be as far off as you think...

Re: The Dolphin?

The emulator is very real, the images have been either DCC'd or email'd to the people posting and Azimer said that the images come from the GC SDK disc.

Re: The Dolphin?

Its gotta be real. If they had the SDK demo disk, why would they make fake shots......and even if they did, how?? No working emulator to run them.....

The framerate is written in each screenshot at the bottom of them, the last zelda in-game screens were run at 1,37 and 1,27 fps... but maybe you already know

I wander too on what kind of pc they are running it.

Re: The Dolphin?

Everybody with a TV tuner could take some screenshots of a console game playing using the computer as the TV and than put the image in a different window, but I don't think that this emulator is fake, cuz it's showing some results that would be perfect on the console itself. The guy who is behind this emulator probably don't want to be too annoyed by our questions, problems, or else... so he don't present himself (or herself ) till it's finished ... probably

The Dolphin was the name of the Gamecube before Nintendo changed it... after the final design of the console was made

No really ?!
[/sarcasm mode=0]

Jokku they are using the GC SDK disc and stuff , us normal people don't have them , nor have access to them IIRC. So according to me it isn't a fraud , so don't even begin about using a tv tuner seeing as they didn't show any commercial games yet.

hehe i´ve read about some people who got this but as i said in the zww comment thread , as the author wants to be anonymous , it´s kinda imoplite to guess his identity.
but one think is fore sure , this thing IS NOT FAKE!
its simply good coding skill (which is to expect when you would have read this what i´ve read about...)

Re: The Dolphin?

And now it is showing ingame graphics from Zelda Windwaker. If this is real, it's made some incredible progress!

Is it possible to create this wire-frame graphics on a gamecube, hacked or otherwise?

Re: The Dolphin?

if it's real I don't think one man alone could have coded it in such a hurry, and it progresses day by day, so it must mean that more ppl are coding it, and if so I'm sure some of them would give his/hers identity to the masses

Re: The Dolphin?

T.O.F.K.A.Z I'm not saying that this emulator is fake, like I wrote before, I don't think this one's a fake cuz it's showing some results that would be perfect on the console itself, so please, don't say opposite of what I wrote .

Actually you started about the TV tuner , not me but I guess you misunderstood my post , I meant it can hardly be a fake because of the reasons I stated before. As for the SDK I have only heard of a few cases conserning "basic" users having them , but still I ain't saying it's somebody from Nintendo or a develop company but seeing as they progress so fast they must have a certain knowledge of the GC , but documentation on the GC is few , so if and I say if I had to guess , I would say it's somebody of Nintendo , but this is just a hunch offcourse.

And Jokku please don't double or even triple post , if you don't want to get hit by Kane's dumbass stick and get the Use the freakin' Edit button Pic.
