Final Fantasy IX Steiner Trance

Pretty much when Steiner goes into trance the game freezes

I've tried epsxe 1.5.2, 1.6.0 and 1.7.0
I don't get any other problems when running the game.

I use Pete's Open GL2 for GPU plug-in
Was using one of the built-in CDR plug-ins but now using CDR Mooby2 2.8
Not sure if sound plug-in matters but I'm using ePSXe SPU core 1.7.0
Will try another sound plug-in soon though

My computer specs:

Intel i7-2700k
ASRock P67 Pro
Nvidia Gefore GTX 590
16GB Kingston Hyper X 1600Mhz
Windows 7 Home 64-bit

Was mounting the image using Alcohol 120 but now no need to with Mooby

Any suggestions?

For now I just took the Max Trance Bar code for Steiner and changed the end of the code from "00FF" to "0000" effectively taking the trance bar from 255 (Full bar) to 0 (Empty)

bad iso seems to be the issue here... are you using save states?

I don't think its the ISO cause this seems to be the only one around the net. I assume they're all the same cause they were all ripped with CCD

I'm using regular saves, so the memory card in the emulator I guess.
I could switch to states if you think I should

I know there is a fight coming up some time and Steiner automatically goes into Trance mode, but till then I'm training anyways. I tend to power level for a long time.
