This data aggregation is too impersonal, includes a lot of noise and does not filter for notability. Few of these daily updates get seen by a lot.

Stuff like this hoards half daily pageviews.

The internet is fascinating because it's the biggest object in the world in a sense, but the data that makes it up is nothing more than a few trillion flipped magnetic bits on a hard drive.

Think about the massive amount of text this forum contains - if you put it in book form, it would fill a mansion. And yet the database for this site probably wouldn't fill up a decently sized flash drive. (I vaguely remember a site admin mentioning the size of the database being around a gig a few years ago, though I can't remember where.)
