ePSXe lag problems

Pretty similar to everyone else's problems only I've tried a few of the fixes from here before posting and nothing seems to work.

Problem: Lag in specific areas; Legend of Dragoon - Opening screen when "New Game, Continue, and Options" is appearing; the Battle Swirl.
Final Fantasy 7 - Battle Swirl, and missing images while in battle (The menus at the bottom).
Star Ocean 2 - Battle swirl, and opening scenes.
