Talking recommended settings to have hi quality eyecandy w/o slowdown at final fantasy IX

i was tinkering with the contorls fustrated that my hi end comp was still showing slowdown in final fantasy ix with all the eyecandy on so i tried these settings and now no more slowdown

the vid is best with NO cap in fps so the sound goes as fast as possible to help improve speed

[trust me..with eternal spu settings you are still forced with a fps... ]

below is the gpu settings

this is the eternal settings

note the huge buffer to prevent any sound skipping

wait helps to increase speed and works quite well with the no cap in fps as i found out

note:theres only one prob with the big buffer and that the sound lags about 100 milliseconds

im gonna experiment some more to get it rite

ok after testing around i noticed that if the sound skips and you have your buffer at 50 milliseconds or higher then you should reduce your video settings

funs fine w/o skipping with 2xSAI off and steady 60 fps in ffIX at all times

It is unsafe to set framebuffer access to anything above 0, or the game MIGHT crash at some point. Then enable the "G4 polygon" Special Game Fix to see the yellow rectangles in battle screen. I have a sound buffer size of 32 for my eternal SPU and finally everything just works.

I recommend you using the Timer option in SPU Eternal, because it allowes you to use a smaller buffer (I can even use 4), because the sound will become much better (try it in the menus of FF9 - you won't hear an empty space between pressing a button and hearing the noise anymore).

Not to mention he resurrected a 5 year old thread from the dead, posting bios files as an attachment which anything of the sorts is strictly forbidden at Ngemu.
