Computer Setups? Hardware. Post Shots :)
Really curious about seeing other people's rig setups. Expecially Demigod. Fivefeet, Lord Kane. And Shadow Lady's. But All of your rigs would be welcome. Not sure if this has been done before, But here's a few shots of my rig setup. Forgive the picture quality. My Digital Camera isn't that good but it works I suppose. I kept this one because in this shot you can actually see my back to the future. trilogy ontop of my PC =p And here are the boxes that I save for some reason. I guess I'm a pak rat? Every box for every piece of hardware I have owned ![]()

I don't have a digital camera of web camera to take a picture. My sister has one (I bought it for her) but I'm too lazy to drag it over and set it up and stuff . I have my computer in a computer desk but I'd rather just have it on a plain old desk. I don't really like the setup I have now, it's too restrictive for my tastes. If I can get a shot of it I'll post it.

A look at the top shows a standard Taisol HSF and a run-of-the-mill PSU, 300W. And a rinky-dink Data Switch.

my camera is also pretty crappy. Everyone knows That I am all for power computing on a budget, and am extremely poor, but here is a tour of my vertical empire... Lets see, on top we have a Minuteman MBK 520 UPS, I purchased it in 2000 for the sum of $40. It was overstock and not inventoried when I took over the RadioShack in Wickenburg, AZ. The d a mn thing beeps all the time as the battery has exceeded its lifespan. Unfortunately a new battery is like $80, and I just cannot part with four double-eagles. Next on our tour is a Canon BJC-4400. Where the heck did I get this from? I do believe it was a special at MallWart back in 99 or 2000. I think i purchased it for $65. I am currently on my 3rd black ink cartridge. Next is an Aiwa CA-DW610 when my wife and I first started living together she had this ugly thing. An Envision i710e monitor is what I see with. I got it at Staples back in ought-one during a day-after thanksgiving sale after rebate it was $39. Under the monitor to the left is an LG-5320 phone from sprint. while not a necessity for computing, it is helpful when my phone line is tied up using the 'net. I got it for free at the carnegie radioshack in Carnegie PA. I drove from Dormont PA to get this paticular phone to take advantage of the $100 discount this refurbished phone offered. Next is my piece of hardware that has the most sorted history. It started out as a Compaq 5BW112 purchased during my tenure as assistant manager of a radioshack in prescott, AZ. Due to a freakish donut fryer incident, the entire case needed to be replaced. The machine cost $400 and a new case was free after I paid for shipping. Next while in wickenburg I purchased a damaged compaq 5130 for $100 dollars. took the best of both and created a machine better than either. While working at staples in prescott, AZ I purchased a compaq 5108 and a compaq 4090US. I paid about $100 for both. I have of course added a dvd/cd-rw combo along with maxxing out the memory at 768MB of the compaq 5007 motherboard I got for $20. I am currently the assistant manager of a radioshack in crafton, PA. I tried to aquire a devalued compaq computer for $97 from another store in West Virginia, but alas the store manager wants it for herself. despite the huge hit she will take in her monthly bonus because purchasing that machine out of her store will cause a gross margin decrease of 300+ percent. Hey its her bonus she is flushing, I just wanted the case, and it costs $125 from compaq. moving on... some cheap kensiko speakers from staples $6 on the clearance shelf. A compaq CP-2E router, $29. I had to import it from a radioshack in Uniontown, PA. The store manager there had imported like 10 from a store in like iowa or something. he was kind enough to send me 2 of them. A dexdrive i paid $4 some internet place i can't remember where. The sole reason I got it was to go with the then newly-released ePSXe 1.2. A Sandisk CF reader an old one got it from Sears on June 13, 2000. A very important day....sigh. $7 after rebate. An HP P-100 4x6 photo printer. Awsome printer. Thats saying alot, as I despise HP in every way shape and form. $104 price matched at Staples. Compaq keyboard that came with the 5BW112. I like it WAY better than any other smart-button keyboard I have tried. Microsoft Optical intellimouse. $23 in 2001. What can I say I will never buy anything else. I love this thing. Further south we have a Canon BJC-240 That thing was purchased in 1996 a few days after I got out of the navy. I paid retail for that one - $79. This concludes the biography of my computer system... OH nope I paid like $50 for the bread rack that everything is on at K-Mart nonetheless.
