About this "Unfiltered framebuffer updates (faster mdecs)"
1 Attachment(s)
Well I wanted to check this option out, because since noticing that there is the same option on Pete's CDR plugin 1.2, I unchecked the "Unfiltered framebuffer updates (faster mdecs)" in Pete's D3D 1.49 GPU plugin. So I Though that I could get a better resolution in the mdec's (without those pixel's that show sometimes). So here's the configuration;

And here's pic 1;

Then I notice that the mdec's resolution weren't that great and I went back to checking; Unfiltered framebuffer updates (faster mdecs);
In which it came out better than before; |
I just want to ask this, when unchecking the Unfiltered framebuffer updates (faster mdecs), is it suppose to have that weird color combonation in "pic 1", or should it have a better and higher resolution?:confused:

I also notice this when unchecking "Unfiltered framebuffer updates (faster mdecs)";

I know that when unchecking "Unfiltered framebuffer updates (faster mdecs)", the mdec's resolution come out bad, but the text's come out smooth, which is nice:) . But when checking the "Unfiltered framebuffer updates (faster mdecs)", you could see the pixels from the text, like for example in here;

when you are doing 'unfiltered mdecs' in the d3d plugins,
they will not use a filtered texture, but a d3d surface, which is faster on many cards. Funny enuff nVidia drivers will filter a stretched surface automatically, so it gets filtered, too... when you are not doing the 'unfiltered' option, a filtered texture in the same quality as you have selected in the gpu config will be used for the mdec... and you are using 4-4-4-4 textures, so you will get a bad quality. |
So if I do it in 8-8-8-8 textures, will it turn out better?
|
not if 32bit colour plate helps, also one might expreience performance hit
sure, they are looks nicer then the one you have |
Wait wait, say that again. I didn't understand what you said:confused:
|
I just what to know that, will we get a better resolution in the mdec's in the future.:)
